I've always been a miles guy. JJ doesn't see the game as it is going. Martin was by far our best player. He needs the ball on the block at the end of the game. Mickey shouldn't touch the ball in the last 2 minutes tonight.

Then how is it on Miles when Jennings can't complete an 8 foot screen pass? Because JJ is ultimately responsible for his teams performance and this is 2 straight games we've closed exactly the same. Exactly. There is NO excuse to finish 0-12 and 0-6. None.

Sooo ... after the bad losses ... and the mostly consistent poor FT shooting ... that cost them games ... your point is?

You are an idiot. You obviously never played basketball.

I played in college and you can't forgive that. Call a time out and force them to throw it in the post. Martin can make his free throws at least.

How is this on Jones? Mickey missed 4 free throws that could've iced the game. He missed a wide open layup that would've put us up by three. He let two tip ins in. This is literally on one guy, and that's Jordan Mickey.

I'll tell you how. A good coach will have his team MENTALLY ready for what ever situation comes up.Think of the great coaches you have seen in college basketball. This kind of crap rarely if ever happened to their teams. Talent alone won't do it in the big games. Jones is clueless at crunch time.

Go look at my post history. I defend every coach on here. I've been a member since 2003, and I have less than 200 posts. The fact that they did not set up a play to give Martin the ball on the block to end the game is bad coaching. Mickey has been missing shots and free throws for the last month. If he can't see that, he is not good enough to coach this team. He is going to be loaded next year, and if he cannot see what's going on in the game, he will have trouble winning next year as well.

What is funny is people think the program is headed in the right direction.

Well technically its gotten better each year under Jones so maybe you dont want to use that point.

Coach JJ is snakebit. If for no other reason, they should clean out the entire staff just to change Karma (whatever that is).

If not, that loss will linger for 1000 years, and we'll never be worth a shite.

Some of the greatest players of all time have wilted under pressure. Magic Johnson infamously dribbled out the clock in a one possession game 7 against Boston. LeBron was horrible the entire 2011 Finals against the Mavs. Michael Jordan missed multiple clutch shots that would've iced the 1989 Eastern Conference Finals. Even our beloved Shaq cost his team game because of his poor free throw shooting late in games. None of that is because of coaching. Jordan was overwhelmed by the moment, but you can't take him out because he's one of your top two players and you don't have anyone who can replace him. How do you stimulate that situation? How do you prepare a kid to hit clutch free throws on national TV in a tournament game? Help me understand.
