If you were Miles and were worried about job security, what would you do?

His job security will obviously depend almost totally on how many losses he has, not on who the coordinators are, what scheme is run, run/pass ratio or any of that (except to the extent that these things directly affect the number of losses for next season). Nor even on winning the SEC or a NC.

I'd say his (regular season) losses/job security chart would look something like:

0 losses - totally secure
1 loss - almost totally secure
2 losses - probably secure
3 losses - 50/50
4 loses - very very insecure
5+ losses - definitely gone

So if you are Miles and job security is a high priority for you, what would you figure is your best way to get on the right side of that chart? Hire new coordinators? Institute a totally new offense? Change formations? Paint the field purple?

I'd say the most likely thing to do that would impact losses would be to do everything you could think of to improve QB and receiver play and do it for next year. Throw the kitchen sink at that one project. And to get a couple of juco and maybe top top level high school linebackers.

Why is Miles worried bout job security, he's good at over 4 million a year for the next 4 years? He can retire at 67 with very nice security.

The man has been losing 3+ games a year for almost half a decade, mostly because LSU's passing offense has been such a mess.

If it didn't click up to this point, I'm not sure it's going to start to.

I would take a wet shite on Alleva's desk almost every day because I would feel pretty fricking untouchable these days.

If I had made half of what Miles has made over the last 10+ years, I probably wouldn't bother putting on pants.

Les isn't worried about anything now. He knows that LSU brass doesn't have the cojones to fire him.

Status quo - don't expect any major changes.

I doubt he is worried about job security. A change will be made for either pride or a geniu e "want" to win.

Sit back for about 2 hours, because about that time a school would be calling.

i'd keep the staff the same and open up the offense.

as far as coach peveto goes, he (or someone else) turned that unit around so i'd keep him too.

lastly, i'd give coach O a new contract ASAP.

this is correct.

If Les' hasn't made changes during the offensive dumpster fire of the past couple years, he sure isn't going to now.

A bunch of sour-faces in this thread because that's hilarious !

Coach Miles should not worry about his job. His only worry needs to be "how can I improve the football team".

Hey. An actual answer!

This is what I'm looking for guys - what YOU would do to try to maximize wins and minimize losses for next year specifically.
