Think how exciting it would be if we were going to a nice new luxurious football stadium. But noooooooooooooo....we sink millions into new luxury boxes and press boxes while the peons get there fees hiked.

Sorry...but I'm about as sentimental as IRS auditor. I remember the good old days, before people were so nostalgic.

What is your complaint about TS? TS is a pretty top notch facility IMO. Its definitely stayed up with the times as far as renovations go.

Hell the stadium has already replaced an addition to the original stadium (West Upper).

I'm not a big sentimental guy either (in favor of field turf , converting the dorms in TS to something useful, etc.), but TS is still a pretty cool place and up to date with renovations.

Right, because 300-500 million is just lying around to spend on a new stadium. I am estimating based on Minnesota's new stadium that cost 288.5 mil and will seat 80,000.

I hope you get the top row seat on the East Upper every game until you are beaten to a pulp by someone on this board.

So you're nostalgic about a time when people weren't nostalgic...

Jeez, are people a little touchy? Unfortunately, for health reasons, I had to give up my tickets, health and goddam 4 hour CBS games. My nephew is eternally in my debt.

I have been to many other stadiums following the Tigers and some stink, some are very nice. My contention is that it's the fans and the team that make it a special place, not the venue.

And y'all are right, with the investment made in this one, and the cost of a new stadium, the Tigers will be playing there for another 50 years.

Tiger Stadium is head and shoulders better than most stadiums throughout the country.

My arse and lower back start to hurt about midway through the 3rd quarter. I carry a lot of my own padding, but a little LSU supplied padding in the SEZ sure would be nice!

I don't think anybody WANTS Field Turf, but that would be preferable to what we've seen in TS for many years now. The field is a F'ing embarrassment and NOBODY in the LSUAD seems to know how or IS WILLING to take the necessary steps to correct the grass problems. All we get every year are a bunch of excuses, then next season comes and the field looks good for 1 or 2 games and then starts to deteriorate rapidly. Everybody else in the SEC doesn't have this problem............
