If you hope for LSU to win games, it does not mean you love the current head coach.

Actually all the negativity got the attention of our head coach and lit a fire under his arse.

I can't understand why people don't see this. Public outcry is the fastest way to force change.

But at the same time...I scream my lungs out every time I watch an lsu game. I want them to win every game...I just feel strongly that it's not going to happen

It's a classic weak straw man's argument way of attacking and trying to silence anyone that opposes O and the regime. I love LSU, it's my alma mater and the spirit of LSU lives in each one of us alums and it's true loyal fans that expect the program to compete for titles. If you didn't go to LSU or never bothered reading the lyrics, you wouldn't understand. I criticize the state of the program because I deeply care for it. It's one of the joys of my life outside of family but more importantly it's something I can enjoy with my family. I firmly feel if you blindly support the direction all you are doing is feeding into Alleva and King's wheel house. Can O turn it around? I don't see it, and I never saw it unlike all the Pro-O fan club members did last year. The Florida game last year was all I needed to see. LSU's program is worth $910 million per the Wall Street Journal report which puts it in the top 5 in all of college football. You(Alleva) don't hire a man who went 10-25 with one of the worst coaching flops I have seen in modern history of the SEC to run a $910 million program. Pat Haden didn't hire O, and USC's program is not in top 5 in terms of worth. Why should LSU hire him? If O wasn't on the campus, not one LSU fan would have even sniffed at the idea of mentioning his name. The pro O crowd can spin it the way they want but that is a fact.

Alleva is progressively destroying this program, and the game atmosphere while gouging the eyes of LSU fans. Alleva in my opinion is the enemy of the Valley, and I feel the LSU bos took a giant piss on the fans for not firing him after the Troy game or after the State game. Hell I would of fired him last year and refused to allow him to conduct the joke of search that he did.

We LSU fans and alums deserve better. The blue print of success is already written the past 16 years. We even have the lessons learned documented but Alleva doesn't care. 2000-2016 seasons prove that LSU can be successful. Why chose to go in the opposite direction. I feel tomorrow at halftime watching the 07 Champion Tigers will be the closure of the greatest era this 124 year program has ever seen. Good gosh it was historic and fun. Three title games, two national titles, four SEC titles was something special to witness and be a part of that many LSU fans of yesterday never experienced. I care too much to see it go the shite.

Forever LSU

Very true.

And most people fall under this category. But some of us are more vocal about our displeasure with the state of things and want a change. Starting with the top. We have merit to be displeased and we're going to voice it.

When kickoff starts tomorrow, all of us will be cheering for the tigers.

I love love LSU. And I love when LSU wins.. I'm not a fan of the coach and hate Alleva. There is a growing number of people on our side of the fanbase.

No. There are those who would "accept" losing if it meant we clean house and get people in that can bring us to championship levels. There's a big difference.

Agreed, but “fans” actively rooting for our opponents aren’t fans of the team. Call me crazy, but I pull for my team to win every game.

Anyone who wants O to fail is a jackass or not a fan of LSU. I still believe he was unqualified and we should have hired someone else. I do not wish him to fail, but to prove me wrong.

Nobody "wishes him to fail". Most of us believe he will but we all actually wish he would prove us wrong. I'd gladly eat crow if he can bring us a national champion. Hell, I'll go one further. I'll eat crow if he can get us to at least 10 to 11 win seasons.

The problem is people try to fuse the two together. The ones who are blindly behind the hire will always assume you are against the team if you are against the coach. Those are the same people who are so shortsighted that they will show up after every win and pump the coach, even if the win was despite the coach. Of course they rationalize every loss, blaming everyone but the coach. We saw it (from mostly different people) under Les.

They don’t want to discuss long term implications, or the fact that we fired a 9-win coach because we expect better than 8-9 win seasons.

And Joe Alleva is a direct reflection of them. He will hire or fire a coach based on the outcome of one or two games, largely because he has a loud segment of the fan base who have zero vision beyond the emotion of the moment, and they make it easy for him.

My issue is vastly with Alleva. Yeah I don’t like O in the head coaching role, but all of this could have been prevented with a true national search instead of limiting it to one Zip code in Baton Rouge. Now we have to ride this out.

yeah, well...

frick You

Just because some of us want them to improve, celebrate players that do well, and want us to min does not mean we are the fricking cause of Orgeron and are the reason he is our coach.

You want to attack people who are critical of you for being critical of Orgeron.... fine.

But fricks like you attack people who aren't critical of everything LSU in every post of every day.

frick off.

Did you criticize Miles?

If you did, then you need to look in the mirror my friend.

And take a xanax.

There were multiple threads like, “is it bad i hope we lose?”

Now...the comments largely bashed these posters...but there were upvotes for sure.

So yes those people post here.
