People saying Hester are foolish. One of my favorite players ever but I could name 5-6 backs that are on par or better than him.
And RB is usually are best position.

I am the OP and, while the responses have been interesting, many missed the original point.

I would like to know which former player that you would like back at any position or sport in his/her CURRENT playing shape.

Most of the suggested players were great in their day, but I question how they would do TODAY in their CURRENT shape and playing ability.

So again - to get back on track - who would you like back (any position/any sport) for 1 season in his/her CURRENT playing ability?

That eliminates most of the field. You must have someone in mind that is on and NFL roster.
Peterson, Bowe, Ridley, or Flynn?

Matt Flynn would make the biggest difference on our team.

It's obviously Flynn, you ppl suck at reading comprehension.

Dwayne Bowe may actually be almost as useful as Flynn come to think about it

Hester did not make my top five list, and he wouldn't even be the first former tiger RB I would take (I'd take Ridley) but I guess it's not a terrible choice. The depth would help and he's a leader.

But yeah, there are probably 7-8 former tigers I'd take before Hester.

The correct answer for this team is Matt Flynn.
The defense will be good enough to keep us in every game.
MF'ing MF would put us over the top in all of those games.
Can you imagine what a poised, veteran QB with this WR talent would do to Arkansas' defense?

You know what's sad? Excluding the OP, it took an entire page to get to either PP7 or Flynn
