You are going to start hearing serious rumors of boosters working behind the scenes to get rid of Alleva and O.

I’ve heard that there is some organizing already in the works...though informal at this point.

There’s a plan being floated to hire new coach via a committee, similar to how Ole Miss hired Freeze, with the assistance of a search firm since it’d be a difficult spot for a new AD.

Hiring a new AD presents it’s own set of challenges.

How can we expect to come close?

Our players are going to be too tired from fighting all the fans at the UFC gym down the street.

That’s the rub...Florida sucks. The money folks aren’t going to make rash decisions.

I think it would take an enormously loaded & powerful booster to get this done - like someone like Shaq making a large donation. We're talking about 12 for Orgeron, 7 between Aranda and Canada, and 2 for Alleva. Over $20 million just for the current staff, not counting what is still being paid to Miles, or what would be needed for a new staff.

This team will lose at least 4 more games. At least 2 of them will be LSU getting pummeled.

You need to wait 3 years. If he can recruit well he will remain, otherwise, he is gone. It applies to any coach.

I have less confidence in LSU "Boosters" than I do in Alleva. If they had any stroke at all, we wouldnt be in this spot.

That sounds like a GREAT idea. A committee of "big swinging dicks" that all think they know who is the best coach for LSU. I'm sure that wouldn't be a clusterfrick.

The line for the Ole Miss job wasn't particularly long. The boosters pushed for Freeze because Freeze was willing to be complicit in their blatantly illegal recruiting practices. The fact that Ole Miss was cheating was the least kept secret in college football. I can't wait until we have that here at LSU.

Why the push to get rid of Alleva now? He's just as incompetent today as he was last November.

I would suspect if they make a change they will go offense and try to keep Aranda and Raymond. Anyone expecting a huge hire is going to be sadly mistaken unless it's someone out of a job like stoops or Kelly. We're looking at a Mike Norvell, Scott Frost, Frank Wilson type name.

How did that work out for Ole Miss??

Hire a new AD, let new AD make decision on coach.

The sentiment that Alleva and O need to be shown the door has been brewing within TAF since the State game. I don't see a way in which the big money guys aren't feeling the same way. The members I know, none of which are the super rich but some contribute a significant amount, are all pissed the frick off.

Unless you are going to throw a lot of money at a proven entity, every school should utilize a search firm. I can't imagine why Alleva (or ANY AD) would assume all the risk in hiring a new coach without assistance.

Let's revisit how cocky and smug Alleva was with his, "I am the search" comment. I mean, a fair amount of us were uneasy about that, and even more of us were underwhelmed with Orgeron's hire, but few of us foresaw how quickly he would kill this program.

I bet Alleva is regretting that comment now. He has no one to scapegoat. It's all on him.

Already started. Next two games are important.

It is all about filling Tiger Stadium. The athletic department cannot afford for Tiger Stadium to be empty. An empty Tiger Stadium is unforgivable and that the bottomline.
