that is how we did it pre-1998 before getting season tix. now i had friends with tix in 70's and 80's but we did just as you said from then on. we will have a shite ton of TAF PP anyway so it should not be hard to get back in at a later date once the shitshow is cleaned up.

I do not care for the atmosphere that is on the campus, the corporate takeover of Tiger Stadium, the money making TAF, the exorbitant parking fees in pay lots that were once free, the horrendous traffic problems

This. I've been going to LSU games since Charles Alexander was running for TDs in the 1970s. I sat in Tiger Stadium in 1993 when Florida hung 58 points on Curly, and stayed to the bitter end, in the South endzone surrounded by Florida fans. But back then, you could leave New Orleans at 4pm and find a (free) parking spot on campus, stay for the entire game, and be home by 11pm or so. And you could sit for an authentic college football game without being assaulted by obnoxious piped in noise passing itself off as...music?... It's like the target demographic has become fickle douchebags who think dancing to some hip-hop beat between plays is what you do at college football games.

If people start dropping their season tickets now, it's the perfect time to buy them.

Yes and no. If people stop buying for several years, then the price should adjust down. That would be the time to buy. Sure, now you would be able to get the exact seats you want, but you would still (potentially) be paying a premium price.

All that does is get you into better seats of you are willing to pay for them.

When season ticket holders start to buy again if the market is up as you say then they can jump right back in and have access to seats pretty much anywhere as is. The supply is more than enough this year to do that let along coming off some bad seasons

In all due respect rb , I have to say Bull Crap to there being a waiting list to get football tickets. Unless you have the proof to prove otherwise, I just don't believe that to be the case.

LSU does force you to get on a "waiting" list if you want to purchase season tickets. Recently the entire list has been offered tickets though
