frick that. FL wanted to play this weekend in the Swamp. If they can't make it happen, they should forfeit.

we should only do this if Florida (or the SEC) will 100% reimburse us for the lost revenue from losing the home game vs South Alabama...

IMO There is no way that both LSU and Florida give up a home game to reschedule this game.

The SEC office should give Florida a forfeit for piss poor planning if this game doesn't take place this weekend.

Now way that happens. LSU would owe SA full amount of the contract which is probably around 750k. No way we pay that because FL were a-hole and wouldn't move the game.

Teams carry insurance to pay offsets of revenue for cancellations due to weather, terrorist attack etc. It dout it would cover the South Alabama game.

Not only should UF forfeit, but face heavy fines by the SEC. This is dangerous incompetence by the Florida administration & SEC.

That screws us so much because we lose a home game and all the revenue. This is complete bs what Florida is trying to pull.

Infuriating.

This is the last straw for Alleva... If this comes to pass, I want him out as bad as I wanted Les out.. Seems like all this decision making is being done by UF (and maybe SEC) with very little input from LSU.

Yeah, I don't understand their stubborness about not moving the game with such a big storm moving in. I guess we'll see how it works out though.

This game isn't getting moved. Florida doesn't want to play LSU.

Not gonna repeat what I said in the poker thread about this, but in my opinion this is 100% on the mealy mouthed SEC commissioner on Finebaum today. He knows what the stakes are in regard to state human infrastructure if FL takes a hit from this storm. Yet the PC prick wants to give FL an out. Gutless leader he is, dammit peoples lives are under the gun act like man.

It's called force majuere. It would not apply to South Alabama in this case.
