Good point. Hannsgriff is a good reporter. He got something wrong. Leave him alone. I wish some of you apply standards to media people and coaches would go the sane for yourselves.

Just tried to download the Sports Today podcast and surprise surprise they don't have the whole broadcast (like they normally do, and do have for YMD and AFR today).

Wonder why

Shouldn't chicly chick be banned for a while for allowing unsubstantiated reporting allowed on his beloved TD?

Hanagriff is not a reporter/journalist. He is not Ed Werder. He hosts a sports talk radio show in a small town. The show is about his opinion, and his ability to keep people tuning in. If Jim Rome made the call to talk about something he heard, would you want him fired? As an employee of LSU, they might be peeved at him for putting something like that out there, but any listener mad at this should probably place their offendedness into worse things.

I think his bigger sin is that he wasn't willing to go with the whole story.

He was wiling to let people know that something is coming...but unwilling to explain how it is going down. Is Cameron being fired? Is he resigning? Is he retiring. Is the AD putting its foot down?

If Hannagriff had said, my sources are saying that Miles is waiting for signing day, Cameron will be relieved of his duties, etc. I really wouldn't have a problem. Instead, it seems like he wanted to skirt the issue...and then was afraid to say what he really "knew". He tried to walk it back.

I mean, to whom is Hannagriff most loyal to? Is it the Athletic Department? If so, he totally fricked up today. Is it his listeners? If so, he totally screwed up by backing off his statements and being unwilling to go with what he knows.

It's just really unprofessional.

Hes paid to give his opinion and he clearly stated that it was his OPINION that Cam would not be back!!

His opinion based on multiple sources that he believes.

Make no mistake, he was breaking a story and that's what he wanted to do (until the shite hit the fan).

He was pretty spot-on about the Miles fiasco right before things started happening. He was the first one that I heard say that Miles was in trouble.

I am tired of people being the "first" for this crap. Just let it play out and then report. We are getting fricked with hires/fires because of this shite.

Ok, I'm actually tired of how knee-jerk people have become about shite like this. Somebody makes a mistake and the teeming masses of idiots on Twitter cry out for the person to be FIRED! Politician says something dumb that some person or group finds offensive? They should be forced to RESIGN IMMEDIATELY!

frick the politically correct herd mentality that we live in today. Social Media is a powerful tool, but in the hands of morons it can be dangerous. Smart people process things before they just throw out the first thought in their heads; most social media encourages the opposite of that.

Ok, I'm done (for now)
