I hope you're being sarcastic. If you're serious then look up his bio and career OC stats. Maybe that'll fux the cynicism and ignorance in your brain.

I love the optimism, and also think LF will leave LSU as our greatest RB in my lifetime (and I'm not a star gazer - just really do think that kid is a once in a generation talent with his head halfway in the right place).......that said, the connection that Mett, Beckham, and Landry had - as well as that kind of raw talent - is not something that's replaced overnight, and we will not throw the ball like you saw last year anytime soon.

The offense could be just as prolific, as the o line will be the strength, and the backs - even without LF - are sec backs.

I do think ultimate success and record depend on the D. Just not sure we are getting to the same conclusion the same way.......even Cameron can't teach experience.

I just see the offensive line as really the key factor that people are overlooking. We have talent on the outside, if teams can't get to our quarterback, we will be good. Having a bunch of upperclassmen with Grimes will help this team run the ball effectively and give Harris time to get the ball to our athletes. I think most aren't used to an offense that is effective year in and year out. This isn't a crowton lead offense. We might not be as good as last year, but we won't be far off.

Pump the brakes bro. This is going to be a "building" year for LSU. There are going to be so many young players getting significant PT and that will undoubtedly lead to a lot of freshman/sophomore mistakes. 2015 and 2016 are the years that LSU could be scary.

IF B Harris gets the job, this offense could put up numbers similar to last years. Kid has it...plus the added run threat from him only adds to the package..T Magee is seriously underrated as a RB..I fully expect us to be undefeated heading into the Bama showdown

Just like last year was a rebuilding year for the defense, this year will be a rebuilding year for the offense. Hard to lose Mett, Hill, Beckham and Landry and not take a step back. We'll be young and talented, and this year will show just how far that talent can take us.

So you don't know if I was being sarcastic or not, so you then proceed to call me ignorant. You sound smart.

10 or 11 wins only because alot of teams in the SEC are starting new QB's...We will not be the only team that goes through growing pains and we will be able to run the ball....

A&M kinda did it, I think we could too.

After 2011 A&M lost:

Tannehill: 3700 yards 29 TDs (leading passer)

Cyrus Gray: 1045 rush yards 10 TDs (leading rusher)

Jeff Fuller: 828 receiving yards 6 TDs (2nd leading WR)

I know we don't have a Manziel, but I tend to believe Brandon Harris could be a superstar. A&M didn't have a phenom at tailback, nor did they have a #1 overall WR, or the greatest WR statistically speaking to ever play high school ball.

They're young, but that tends to be the trend these days in college football, maybe LSU is just the next team with some star freshmen.

Great comparison. We also have Cam in his 2nd season here.. and the best oline in quite some time.. with the best LT in the game. LSU runs great regardless of QB play.. If you hit on QB play then look out! That's a bonus. Lots of talent. I've learned watching college football young skill players on offense can have success early on in their careers. It's better to be young on offense than defense. It's so great our D got some experience behind them and are now gelling wonderfully together.

Just saw this post.. Exactly my point. That's where it is most important in the college game. Skill players can have great success being young.. the line is where it will always be at.

No they can't. Not bashing on any player on this offense, but you can't plug in that many new guys and expect to have the same or similar type of numbers as last year. They can (and I believe WILL) be a very productive offense and I'm not saying we are going to revert back to 2010 offense, but they will not be able to put up the same numbers that Mett/Beckham/Landry were able to put up in the passing game.

Cameron isn't a magician. You can't come in and make two inexperienced QBs with no experienced receivers around them become studs.

chances are that the offense will take a step back. I do not see harris/jennings on 3rd and 15 throwing 20 yd outs to the wide side of the field like mett did. mett was as good as anyone i have seen doing this.

this years offense will have to be more methodical. problem is that with young qb's, mistakes creep in to "methodical" (aka long) drives.

however, this offense will not dip to levels some are claiming. cam is just hands down better than any other offensive coach LSU has ever had.
