No, for many reasons, not the least of which is he's never served as an OC.

I don't think it is a ridiculous notion.

Uh, what? Not no but hell no.

What we need to do is either get rid of Ensminger or Stud(whoever) and hire Ben Wilkerson as OL coach. Or better - fire Stud/Ensminger, get Ben Wilkerson, hire a competent OC and Miles keep his hands out of the offense. That would be ideal.

Won't happen though. So, just fire Ensminger and bring in Ben. Let Stud's fatass get lazier in the booth because that's all he's good for anyway and we know Miles won't get rid of him unless he needs a scapegoat on offense. Far as Ensminger goes, sit his arse in the admin office or something.

Saban hired him, not Miles.

But, he does have a history of putting together a very good offense and getting the most out of QBs,

he does?

I do. He's never been a coordinator before, so he's the fricking solution to fixing our offense? What the frick goes through some of your heads?

Saban will give Dooley a job right back where he belongs, deep inside of Nick's arse.

Joker Phillips has as many SEC wins as Derek Dooley and more SEC wins over their last 12 SEC games, one of those a win over Dooley. The 1st UK over UT in 5000 years and UK started a WR at QB that game.

He sure turned Tech around. They loved him there. It was really lauded as a great hire by UT when they got him.

Maybe he just wasn't ready for primetime.

He had a losing record at Tech and went 4-8 his last year there. I'm sure he raised the talent level but he didn't make any miracles happen over there.

First of all, why would we want a linebackers coach as an OFFENSIVE coordinator?

I won't even get into the QB chaos Dooley has gotten himself involved in with Bray, which doesn't really speak to well to your point about Dooley doing a good job of coaching QBs. Bray has been the biggest bust in the SEC this year, and he and Dooley are now butting heads in the media.

Thirdly, Dooley is a shitty coach...bad track record. Simply put: not a winner. Didn't win at LaTech. Got a Tennessee job he didn't deserve. Didn't win at Tennessee. He has ridden his father and Saban's coattails in life ... he's not a good football coach.
