You don't think Jones is a great coach in a prior post, but you are defending him as well. If the buck does not stop with the head coach, who does it stop with? When we barely eke out a victory against a team blown out by teams we are competing with, something is wrong. When we get blown out not infrequently by good teams, something is wrong. LSU should have a better coach than Jones. Do you agree or not?

Game score was not as close as the game was played. It's bad in that respect as well as we have to beat this type of team to have consideration for a tourney berth. They looked like a well coached team and we looked like a group of players. These not so subtle posts defending Jones are not fooling many. If one thinks they envision Jones coaching a final four team, swampland salesmen should be looking for that person.

I have a hard time believing CJJ turned the reigns over to anyone. Couple of coaches on the way out were pretty candid in indicating CJJ did not delegate much.

People can change but they usually don't.

I will say Reith is much better than I expected him to be, Samson is looking this year more like what I expected last year and the Houston game was about the best overall half of hoops I've seen us play since maybe the first have against OU last year.

But that's the rub, you see glimpses like this of CJJ's teams where it looks like they've been coached but it never seems to last.

I really hope it does, but what I saw last year for me tells me all I need to see from CJJ.

Sweet cop out before you enter your typical tirade against people criticizing him

Seemed like he just sat on the bench the other night

He wanted to play but was afraid he'd get caught.

Talent is better than I thought, and I've always liked Randy.....Still a long ways to go and they've already had a couple of typical Johnny Jones coached terrible performances. Is Randy the game coach?

The last thing that LSU basketball needs when JJ is fired is another person who played for and/or coached under Dale Brown to be hired. When are you morons going to wake up and realize that these guys don't know how to coach/develop and teach the fundamentals of team basketball. Look, I loved Randy as a player but being uber talented and great player doesn't make you a great coach.

PLEASE go out and get somebody from the East Coast...

Our dumbass AD didn't learn with the JJ hire, so he decided to try it with our head football coach as well.

I do agree that Musselman did help out on the defensive end somewhat that year, but we were still pretty bad on that end of the floor. The main reason why our defense performed better that year was because we had Mickey inside to clean up any mistakes.
