If he is allowed to run, or encouraged, we might be in the playoffs.

Like Watson, who is given green light, Harris is similar, and when he has run, many have been nice. Not so much on designed sweeeps but pass plays when WRs covered......

You can see how fragile the kid is lets let him add more weight before we run him to death.

Maybe Harris is a really talented QB and we have not developed him properly...maybe play calls could be a lot better...Maybe Harris can hit the easy D1 throws that are expected of him...can we work on that with all of the talent we have at RB, WR and TE before anything else??

I expect to see more zone read added to the playbook next year. It worked against TT. The threat of handing it to Fournette, Harris running or pulling up should be very effective. I believe that he can produce results the same way RG III did at Baylor.

Yes sir, but he runs well in open field, and when everyone is covered, he forces it, instead of finding the opening and running like most of the higher ranked teams QBs do, our record might be different, thats all

he's #2 dual threat to watson but only has 67 carries to watson 167, 226/887 yrds

Could make a difference vs chuncking it

So, just that I understand.

Are we wanting Harris to run more now?

Because in October we wanted to "open the playbook up"'and let him throw more.

Serious question btw.

He has a lot of room to improve but I am doubting the coaches are telling him to never run. They just want him to look first. The older he gets the faster he can make that decision.

I think they tell him not to run and has too many things to think about vs using his instincts pulling up, finding a gap and running his arse off in the open field

im still confused.

Pass more or run more?

Our archaic run first Big 10 offense, should have their QB run more?

The answer is both, obviously. We need to run 100+ plays per game like Auburn, Texas A&M, and Oregon.

I am watching the Clemson game. Watson has sailed a few passes over his receivers heads like Harris showed this year.

I think his system is better for his style. He just looks more comfortable than Harris.

But I don't see a big difference in athleticism.

More shotgun and more designed runs would suite his game better, in my opinion, but he also has to hit his receivers and they have to catch the ball (both major problems this season).

Tony Ball has a lot of work to do to earn a contract extension, IMO.

I agree. I think I can name 10 times off the top of my head this year that a critical down or score was missed when the ball hit them in the hands.

4 if you wake me up from a drunken stupor.

But we are entirely too critical of Harris as a fan base.

I think he played well and if would have pulled up and run more would have been that much more comfortable, like a dump off receiver, he has an out vs chunking to covered receivers.

The ceiling is so high for him,one can only hope another off season with the same targets to through to. He can get more comfortable. When the light does come on big things can happen.

I'm watching the Clemson QB. The pick he threw right before half reminded me of Harris's against Alabama.
