Even if he does come in and tear things up this year, which we all obviously hope that he does, that does not mean he would have done the same last year.

Probably would've been the same. We would've lost the GOTC.

You seriously believe he couldn't complete 50% of his passes for 100 yards or so?

Have people forgotten how good LSU's defense was? Who the hell mentioned growing pains? Teams had no shot against LSU outside of Alabama because of our defense. Mett starting wouldn't have changed anything and we might have been better. He was ready. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

We weren't losing to anyone in the regular season outside of Alabama.

So, at worst, 11-1. Theoretically, we'd have still been playing in the national championship game, though that's not for sure.

If you don't think people were biased and thought Mett could win every game, you don't read this board very much...

We won in spite of our QBs last year. I would have expected a similar result as the other two +/- a game.

Within the same approximate range.

And would have been in excellent shape for this year.

But who knows if we would have beaten Oregon or Bama the first time or if we would have gotten a mulligan had we not.

Looking for good things these next 2 years from him though.

People who think we would have lost to Oregon with Mett obviously didn't watch the game.

there is a problem here. there would have been a HUGE, NEGATIVE UPROAR from the team if mett started over a non-injured, non-suspended jj. you would have had mutiny.

why would he have had to start every game?
The real question is why didn't miles get him some playing time throuhout the season so that when the time was right, Georgia, Bama games, he could have offered an alternative.

Would have lost to Oregon and Bama in the reg season and then probably won the Sugar bowl.

We won with defensive play/ momentum at Oregon and Special Teams in Tuscaloosa...

Now this is a really stupid discussion...it doesn't really matter except for one game.

No do overs next year...Please.
