Do I have permission from the pumpers to be pissed or should I wave my "coach of the year" banner with pride until next season?

If you would rather O'Sullivan over CPM, then you need to see a doctor.

Florida/Vandy was the most likely final from the beginning of the CWS.

I mean I'll take a guess that 21-8 record would look different.

You have permission to write the NCAA and request that the postseason format be changed to match the format of the regular season.

What he's saying is LSU may have not have had the best SEC regular season record if they were to face Vandy and UF. But hey, Bama gets Tennessee every year in football.

Reminds me somewhat of the BCS game a few years ago.

If Florida and Vandy play for the NC you should start a thread bitching and complaining about CPM and how much talent we get here. And also add in that you don't care about the regular season or rankings. All that matters is to win the whole CWS.

Nobody's said stuff like that yet I don't think.

No, that's what you said. What the OP said was almost incoherent, something along the equivalent of asking permission to wear Scooby Doo underwear while watching Bugs Bunny.

Sad fact: LSU does not attract the same level of talent that led to 5 CWS titles. Lots of reasons including parity, improved facilities around the country - but particularly in the SEC.

Since 2009 the SEC has sent 4 different teams not named LSU to the CWS finals - winning 3 titles - USCe(2) / Vandy(1 + a chance in '15). Florida has a chance to play in their 2nd CWS finals since '09. USCe played in 3 straight CWS finals ('10-'12).

During that span LSU lost in BR 2 different times in NCAA as national seed and gone 1-4 in 2 trips to CWS. You can chalk it up to 'that's just baseball', but that's a cowards way out.

Something is amiss with LSU baseball. The question is who with the ability to impact the program will step up and say "the emperoror has no clothes".

Using LSU-E as its farm club? instead of going after better players?

LSU is now and always going to be one, if not the premier program in the SEC some years. HOwever, the loophole that Coach Skip found back in the day with the lotto schollies has now been put into effect by many schools. Wells talked openly about how they built the program back in the 80's this way. U go get all the instate kids on lotto. Get some out of staters on full with the 11.7 and use the remainder of the 11.7 for books, housing, etc for the lotto kids. Since then Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia all have it now. FLorida has been doing it. THis has also been put into effect across the country. You add in other schools stopped playing in pastures with fences around them and built real ball parks and it created tremendous competition. Vandy has some type of private school funding that their coach admitted is the reason they are good now.

LSU will always be competetive, great teams, great players, fighting for the CWS but you will never see them dominate like the 90's. Things have changed and they are now playing teams with equal talent which Skip didnt have to do many times. I still believe its one of the reasons he got out when he did. He had built a monster that he knew he couldnt feed. LSU is fun to watch with the major league skill they bring in. CPM is fantastic and will always have LSU in contention. Season by season they will be there and more NC's are on the way for LSU but not at the rate Skip won them and he would probably admit as much.

Hey........don't complain. Coach PM coached to expectation. After all, the women's basketball coach makes more money than him.
