We will have to face Alabama again. They will be in the playoffs with 1 loss

What if we win out and Auburn wins out? I guessing we would finish #5 in the final rankings if Michigan and Clemson stay put. I'm guessing it would be Clemson, Michigan, Auburn and Washington. That would totally suck balls!

Yup that's all the Playoff Committee Rankings have shown me.

They are going to put a 1 loss Bama in even if there are 3 undefeated conference winners.

Long way to go though.

That may happen, but they won't put a one loss non SEC Champ Bama or aTm over an undefeated Pac 12, ACC, or Big 10 champ. Conference championship will be factored significantly into the final standings. It can't be at this point though, because obviously we have no conference champions yet. I don't see why the media and most people aren't understanding this.

The way this is shaping out might get the CFB brass to consider going to 6.

The same thought crossed my mind yesterday. That would be about right! Fight tooth and nail and make it through the gauntlet we have left, only to be rewarded by facing Bama again in the playoffs!

ETA: You can bet the farm on this: a one-loss Bama team will make the playoffs regardless of whether they win the SEC in any given year! Book it!

Don't see LSU winning out. If they do, it will be the run of the century. Our only chance is Bama coming in flat and over confident. But then we have to win the 4th quarter which will be tough.

Yes. In that case, LSU will be pulling for 'Bama to beat the Aubies.

That's just not true

Is it possible, sure.

But not likely.

- Either Michigan or Ohio State will be in, 100%.

- Clemson is definitely going to be in if they win out (they have Cuse,Pitt,Wake,Scar).

- If Washington wins out they're 100% in. An undefeated conference champion isn't getting left out for a team that doesn't win it's division.

See above. There's absolutely no chance Bama goes if LSU wins out and the above happens. None.

Based on what the committee put out I don't know if Auburn makes it.

Bama obviously controls their own destiny but if they lose to LSU...??? Even with one loss they will get serious consideration.

LSU if they win out will have to beat two of the teams they have in the initial top 4 and we would have to beat UF twice which is a great case maker along with the coaching change situation. Kinda gives us a bit of a mulligan.

Auburn, even if they win out they still have a loss to one of the top 4 teams and have two losses. They have no compelling story other than they are late bloomers. That is the best they can do. Bama could still jump em with one loss.

If they go to six they might as well go to eight.

It would be a fun position to be in if we actually have to pull for Bama.

Bring on the midget. That would be fair with this system. I expect Bama to be crying after the first loss claiming they beat themselves so they won't have anymore excuses if LSU beats them twice this year.
