If LSU puts in the spread for next season

If Les Miles hires a spread offensive coordinator and actually allows him to run 100% of the offense will it be enough for LSU to keep Miles as coach?
I know LSU was promised Cam Cameron would bring change and run the offense but unfortunately Les Miles it still running the offense. Nothing has changed on the offensive side of the ball.....again.
If Les Miles was forced to hire a spread offensive coordinator (like the TCU offensive coordinator) and make Les (silently and secretly) sign a contract that he will not interfere with the offensive play calling, to save his job, would you be in favor of keeping Les Miles as head coach?

This happened with tuberville at auburn and failed horribly also.
Lsu needs a fresh start. Time to move on.

i don't think we can completely overhaul our offensive concepts (spread or not) in one offseason
we just have too much entrenched in this limited les offense. i mean teaching QBs how to read the middle of a field alone will take a long time, esp since all advanced coaching they've ever received has told them "you never throw there. EVER!"

A true spread option won't work well with our personnel. I don't thing the variation that Auburn runs with bigger linemen would work well, either.

that was because tubby and his cronies ensured it failed
miles is either in or out on the change. there is no middle ground (even with a "secret contract")

Why is Miles still working at LSU?

it would be a shite show and might even cost us our bowl streak if we went full on spread. The only player made for the spread is Harris.
we need a hc and a oc that will get us to look more like bama on offense. We keep the power run game, get a pocket passer and then we can be good again. The new coach is going to need to recruit players to fit our scheme.

This is true but Tuberville's recruiting classes were terrible his last 3 years as coach. Nick Saban was cleaning up the entire state and it was not even close.
LSU currently has great talent and a great class coming in. The offensive is ready to bust out and be one of the most feared in the entire country. Les Miles is holding it back with his 1970's Big 10 offense. With the right spread coordinator this offense will be unstoppable. The great talent is here right now. It just needs to be used.

Installing a new offense with Les staying? That's like putting a bandaid on a severed artery.

TCU did it. Their offense was completely different after one off season. They kept the same head coach.
As long as Les Miles does not help out one bit on the offense then this would work at LSU.

Miles will still run the rock and LF will go rogue like Elliot at OSU if Miles goes to an all out soread offense.

That is what he is currently doing now. Been that way for awhile.
Did you notice yesterday LSU moved the ball down the field with great passes and then got it to the one. I imagined Les said "ok guys, I will take it from here, I'm calling the plays now"
Then Boom, after a time out on 4th down, LSU's offensive looks like a complete shite show. Classic Les Miles offense. It was expected.
Again, the talent is here. It just is not be used right. Look how many 5 and 4 star wide receivers we have. Use them for crying out loud.

Not so fast on that incoming class - everyone assumes recruits aren't committed to Miles or his staff. Any big name HC will likely clean house and bring his own guys, possibly losing some key coaches like Frank Wilson and Orgeron - who really knows what QB recruits think now about Cameron, but the verdict is out on what recruits stay committed due to this turmoil. I suspect some recruits may choose to go elsewhere even if they like Miles due to the perception and or probability that Miles may be gone the following year.
