causing us to miss the playoffs, Burrow lose the Heisman, but we won the rest of our games, how much luster would diminish from this season?

Yep. That’s how I’d feel.
In fact, if we beat Bama and lost in the SEC Championship to East team, I’d still consider this a great year.

If it’s competitive and we can score, then we’ll be alright. And will be very much still in the playoff picture.

If it’s another 27-0 type shite (which I doubt), then shite could hit the fan.

Especially since we would end up against Texas or Wake Forest in a bowl game.

What if the LSU fan base was a bunch of wussies that spent the entire Saturday making dumb what if threads?

First of all, if LSU were to end up 11-1, there's still a better than 50-50 shot that they'd make the CFP; and

Second, on a spineless, bed wetting, douche would not consider 11-1 as a hell of a season, with an incredible recruiting class, and a ton of talent returning for the following season.

Or I could be wrong, and the spineless, bed wetting, douches could be correct.

Well, some LSU fans work on Saturdays, are bored and have spare time.
What’s your excuse for commenting on my OP?

Not going to happen. The difference is Bama has always had one edge. The same edge that carried Clemson to the national title last season. Defense and more specifically they were (before last year) always better than everyone on the defensive line. With one and sometimes two dominant payers. This year they have none and are scrambling.

This year they have one of the weaker groups of defensive down linemen in the SEC. 3 of the five guys that play the most are raw freshmen playing against grown men. Most OL are 3, 4 or 5 year guys With technique and years on a CFB training program. Of the two vets they had counted on one went down with a serious knee early and the other hasn't recorded a single sack. This is no excuse just a fact. They had zero depth and that can only be laid off on recruiting fails at that position and then bad injury luck compounding it. And the guys playing behind them @ LB.are freshmen too. It's all lined up for LSU to make the playoffs. Even if they drop one to A & M.

I’d prefer to lose to A&M if I had to chose one. Just beat Bama!

If LSU loses to Alabama and remains undefeated the rest of the way, the odds are very good that LSU will still be in the college football playoffs provided Alabama beats the SEC East division to win the SEC Championship and provided that Baylor gets knocked from the undefeated ranks, which is very likely.

If the game is close and we win out.

The game doesn't even have to be close. As we will still have the best one-loss record in America by virtue of our 3 victories over top-ten teams.

However, if we do lose to Alabama, I'm betting it will be a close game.

Yes it does. If Bama smokes is no one will take us seriously.

All the top 10 wins in the world won’t matter.

You are a fickle fan. Most of us are thrilled with year we are having, and I’ll take 11-1 and a top 5 finish. Would prefer #1 but it would not ruin the season with a loss. You seem to have forgotten that we had a 45 year drought between 2003 and 1958 championships. With your attitude, no Tiger fan would have enjoyed any of those 45 years.

Give me a break, what other one-loss teams in America will have a better resume than LSU? Will another one-loss team in America have three wins over three top-ten teams? The answer is no, only LSU. Hence, LSU is in by virtue of their resume. Give me a break.
