Does it change your perception of where the program is?
Not being a negatiger, but how important is this win? Tigers should win regardless of Mettenberger being out, so not an excuse IMO.

It's an important game.

It's important Jennings plays well too. I need something positive to chew on this offseason.

No. It just means this board will be unbearable for nine months.

I expect a game.
I hope for a win for the team, but a loss will not hurt.

If LSU loses to Iowa, Les could almost pack it in. There's no way he gets fired now, but what he'll take from the fans is way more a punishment than he could ever take from getting booted.

If AJ plays ok then the loss wouldn't be bad. We all know the defense is bad but Chief should get it fixed, but breaking in a new QB is crucial for the programs future.

The outcome of this game has no bearing on the outcome of next season. Losing will give this board something to complain about all offseason.

Of course we will miss Zach Mettenberger. He has been the team leader all year and has been clutch on 3rd downs which has carried us so much of the year. Anyone who thinks we will not miss ZM simply is not thinking straight.

It depends how they lose. A true freshman is starting in his first game ever. If he makes a lot of mistakes, that won't make me critical of the program. Sure it will make for a long off season, but this game does not make or break my perception of the team.

It'll hurt way less than this.

Didn't say he wouldn't be missed, just that we should win regardless

It is important... as the win and a few potential losses, one being Zona St. tonight can allow us to finish in the top ten for the season and get to ten wins- two accomplishments which are always difficult to do and allows for a sense of an elite season. We also need all the positive vibes going into the end of recruiting season. A strong showing from Jennings will go a long way for our outlook for next season. Also, all of the potential NFL draft picks will be playing their best to increase their draft stock and doing so in a win always looks better. So yes, it is important, I just wish Iowa was ranked and the game was at night...

I will be disappointed in the coaches and players and will question their chest. I don't want a repeat of the chik bowl vs Clemson where our team didn't give a shite.

the bama fan said said that it would hurt, sarcastically, if we lost to iowa. so I gave an example of Alabama getting hurt.

Yes. It would be a horrible loss and prove a trend of post season mediocrity.
