That is because Alabama is the gold standard for success right now. Saban has 3 national titles, and just keeps winning the SEC. LSU has completely fricked themselves getting beat by Bama 4 times in a row. They are were LSU wants to be. Like it or not.

I'm gonna guess that a lot of the talking heads are really lazy and have not actually watched the LSU games. I get that they can't watch every game, but they should be watching the games involving Top 10 teams, they could then express knowledgable opinions.
They still believe all LSU has going for it is LF7. LF7 is a generational player and he is THE reason LSU is a threat to win it all, BUT The defense is growing up, B.Harris is coming along very nicely, the passing game is greatly improved, LSU controls the game and has had minimal turnovers, and some well deserved swagger is developing.
Special Team play Is the glaring weakness.
What is bama? A good team that is gonna be hard to beat at home, but LSU can do it.
