If LSU is a top 10 FB program, are our fans top 10 fans?

We demand excellance of our players and coaches, but are we "good CFB fans"?
We get terrific grades for being loud, passionate and having good tailgate food and activites. And drunk.
But, increasingly, we leave the stadium early, boo our own coach and QB, and turn on fellow Tiger fans for being Positigers and Negatigers. And, then there's "Neck" and that whole exercise of communal immaturity. We're very hard to please. And, I get the impression we do not travel as well as we once did, especially for mediocre opponents.
Over the last decade, I'd have to give the FB program higher grades than the fans. Does anyone think the players HAVEN'T noticed?

Easily a top 5 program. Hands down the best fans in all of football. We sell out ALL our games and give LSU the biggest home field advantage in the country. I think the biggest problem is LSU's success has attracted a lot of band wagon fans who love to use the rant.

Since 2008, LSU has an average final AP ranking of around 16.
Since 2009, an average AP final ranking on 10 to 11
Last 2 and 3 years - average final ranking of 8
Last year a final ranking of 14

Alabama is the only program that has been consistently above LSU lately.
Oregon and LSU are neck and neck.
Stanford is slightly behind those two.

Seems to me that what goes on in the stadium is only part of being a fan. However, in the BIG games, for so long as the game is close, we're as good in the stadium as anyone anywhere.
However, even that observation is fairly well qualified and it represents a fraction of the whole season.
