Not trying to beat a dead horse, but if LSU had beaten Bama and Arkansas they wouldn't they have won the western division?

LSU would have finished tied with Bama and Mississippi State in a 3 way tie.

What would the tiebreaker come down to?

Crazy to think everything may have worked out if we had just won those 2 games.

Crazy to think that literally no one was picking MSU to be anywhere within 2 scores of LSU and they physically manhandled us for 3 quarters.

True, but when you look at the number of seniors playing at Mississippi State and the number of freshmen and sophomores playing for LSU you understand.

LSU will have a much better team than Mississippi State next year regardless of whether Dak is back or not.

Agreed. All those TF will be grown men next year for the Tigers.

According to all the threads going on when we were still in contention, all the things that needed to happen for us to win the west happened. Other than us winning out that is.

Tiebreaker would have been common record against Ole Miss. LSU would have gone.

I get what you're trying to say, but there were literally people on this board who had MSU playing LSU close.

Exclude the word literally and it's a more plausible statement.

Sorry to be a nazi. Happy Holidays and Geaux Tigers.

Hard to say how bama would come out to play against MSU the week after LSU had they lost.

Only the dumbasses thought MSU had no chance.

That was 13 or 14 years of frustration by MSU. We didn't match their intensity and got beat.

Arkansas would have smoked us like a blunt worse if we got by Bama with a win.

Our best shot was the 4 way tie. UK and UF kept losing. Bama would have gone, but would have been out of the play offs.

This is not true. Several people picked and understood that Miss St would be far improved and Dak could be the best qb in the conference.

weren't bama's east opponents UT and UK?

We both would have played the wildcats so, that's a wash. I think UF had a better record than UT.

If that's the case LSU's east opponents had a better record.
