That would be successful beyond belief.

The key is beating Ole Miss this Saturday. That game appears to be the most difficult of the "winnable" games left on the Tiger schedule

if this is the team that continues to play the rest of the season like they have against Auburn, 10-3 is very manageable.

We should be stacked next year but we have to play a rising Miami squad and Georgia squad and Alabama. That’s 3 top 10 teams

I wouldn't count us out in that game

You better count us out. Alabama is a quantum level better than any other SEC team, including Georgia. I just hope LSU doesn't get embarrassed and keeps the score within a tolerable margin, like A&M did.

Have you ever played sports (high school or higher)?

My thoughts preseason were 9-3. Losses were going to be against UF, Auburn, and Bama.

1. Never did I expect to lose to Miss St and Troy
2. I did not expect UF to lose all those players right before the season, nor did I expect the SEC to be as bad of a shite show as it is.
3. I never expected Guice to get hurt or play so below average (thanks in part to his OL also).
4. I did expect growing pains in the first half of the season because of the OL and DL, but defensively I never thought we'd play that bad.
5. I did expect Brennan to start against Arky after our 3rd loss of the season where Etling plays his worst game vs Bama. Of course I don't anymore because O is adamant about playing as conservative and safe as possible with Etling.

If LSU finishes 9-3, it'll meet the expectations I had (for this year), if they don't, well it's not too bad. Once Etling is gone, we should see a true offensive makeover. Right now we'll just have to suffer with hoping for a jet sweep TD or underthrown deep pass as the only explosive plays.

Only a win against Bama can make up for that ugly loss to Troy.

You people gotta get over Troy.

Let's shoot for an Outback bowl appearance vs Michigan!

Fun fact: LSU has never played Michigan.

A few years ago, some website went over the "best" CFB matchups that had never taken place.

Michigan V LSU represents the 1st and 11th winning programs in CFB history, in terms of total wins.

I.e. the biggest matchup between great programs that has never happened, to this point.

6-2 would be better than most people realistically expected coming into the year, so of course it'd be a huge success.

It's funny that we have to focus the SEC record to avoid discussing the Troy loss.

Why? Every win unfortunately makes the Troy loss sting that much more.

Stop living in the past, and think about what lies ahead. You'll be happier.

Unfortunately the playoff selection committee doesn't view things this way. When they go to fill the NYE Six bowls, they'll remember that Troy game.

You should'nt concern yourself over events that have already happened. Take an interest in what possibilities lie ahead. It's a lot more fun.

Wait a minute.

I thought we fired Miles because that wasn’t good enough.

I’m confused.

It’s now considered a “great season” because Orgeron is the coach?
