the Tigers will be 16-3 and 3-1 in the SEC, sitting atop the SECW. Would the Tigers be ranked on Monday?

I think we would HAVE to be.

We'll get votes but I don't think voters will give us too much credit with the down year the SEC is having..

In my opinion we should crack the Top 25 if that happens, but I don't think we will. With the SEC being down, and a 30 point loss on the road at Utah, and the Bama loss, I don't see them letting us in the Top 25

prob wouldnt be ranked. We're only receiving one top 25 vote as is, we'd prob move up to #28 or so though

Randy Rosetta of the Advocate was the only AP voter to put us in their poll. He voted LSU #25.

So that's really a homer pick. In all actuality right now we have basically zero votes.

AP rankings don't really mean much at this point anyhow.

I understand that, but a big win over Xavier would force people to take notice. Plus 16-3 would be nothing to sneeze at. We win both and we are gonna go dancing IMO.

I completely agree with that. I just doubt that it will translate to a top 25 ranking...yet.

That would be a huge week, especially in light of the season Xavier is having. A big "if" to be sure but winning out this week will move them into
the 40-50 rpi range and that's more important than
being ranked in the polls as past history has shown. I've said all along that 22 is the Tigers
regular season magic # to advance to the "Dance".
A victory over Xavier in the middle of the season
will more than make up for the anomalous road loss
at Utah IMHO.

+1

As much as I hate to remind myself... we got destroyed by a below average Utah. Voters will remember that. I can already envision our "bubble bio" and that being a glaring reminder to voters.

Utah's RPI is in the 20's Paul. Not looked upon as below average by anyone connected to poll voting. A win over Xavier (top 5 RPI) will more than make up for what most are already seeing as
an anomalous loss to the Utes.

I dont think we will be in the top 25, but The two wins would be huge for momentum for the remainder of the season.

+1. It would put us on the map and we would be up near the top under "others receiving votes"
I see us, Florida, Tenn, and Kentucky getting in(the big dance) right now and that is it. Of course puttin us in there at this point is a little biased.
