I wouldn't be completely upset by that.

I'm looking forward to the next wave of rumors to come out today.

I think I still prefer a better coordinator. And a chance at getting Ed O another route. I would love Coach O though

As a general rule, promoting head coaches and coordinators from within has a very high fail rate.

This move would be risky at best.

It's not the worst option IMO.

I think CP, Shoop, or Durkin alone would be fine. Add Ogre to any of those and Haley and it would be fine too. Come to think of it....we all want some splash but if it doesn't happen, it wont be the end of the world either.

No, LSU should not have to promote from within.

Yes because I don't want Orgeron at another SEC school coming into this state and recruiting against us.

I wouldn't mind at all.

Brick deserves a legitimate chance at this job. period.

So one of them would have to become LB coach then?

Why not just make Orgeron DC and Brick could coach lbs again (he has coached lbs for a good portion of his career)? Would it matter much really?

I just can't see Les letting a guy with Orgeron's personality on the staff

Haley has coached LBs at a couple of stops along the way. This scenario is not that far fetched. He also has been a DC in his past...I think...someone can confirm and how effective he was before in that role.

I thought about it when I read the board a few hours ago to see if anything changed. Maybe it will be Haley DC, Ed O to DL. I'd be fine with that. Maybe Haley could be good for us.

With names like Steele and Stoops floating around, absolutely yes.
