Yep. Miles has apparently already decided that Brandon Harris has no place in the future of LSU football.

Huh? Miles reached for Harris. Remember Auburn. That Harris clearly was not ready is your idea of proof that Miles has written him off forever?

The mistakes Harris is making - mixing up plays, not recognizing formations - are best corrected during practice and film study. If he was doing all of that correctly, but was forcing passes and holding the ball too long, that would merit game time improvement.

No coach would play a guy who hasn't mastered the basic offense. It's frustrating to be in this situation - and it's Miles' fault - but because he didn't recruit well three and four years ago, not because he won't play Harris prematurely.

Maybe - if two of his three wide receivers had graduated a year early and gotten college practice and game reps in as well.

Hell to the frick no!!! I've seen what I need to see from AJ and he's not the solution.
If there had been even a modicum of improvement...I might have hope for the boy....but nada....zilch...zero. Its time for another solution....whatever/whoever that may be.

You would see a ton of improvement if we played Alabama and Arkansas as the fest two games and finished up with Kentucky and Nevada

Sadly, he seems like a good kid that tries but just doesn't have the skills to play QB in the SEC. Average arm, below average speed, very little pocket presence, low accuracy.

Appears to have been overvalued coming out of HS.

Nope. We have seen no evidence whatsoever that would lead us to believe that he can improve. His best games were the first few he played in. He's playing much worse now than Arkansas last year and UW.

Yeah - I mean having 3 receivers that were ready for the NFL had no impact at all on how he looked last year...

Makes you wonder why he was even recruited especially since UGA didn't attempt. Looks like the Georgia coaches were pretty smart and LSU's, well.

We played UW last year too? I guess I missed that.

AJ spends lots of time in the film room as we're told

the results on the field don't reflect this committedness

No AJ would NOT be better but Harris might.
We have never prepared our backups well under Miles - Never. Part of the reason we always have a decade long on and off QB problem under Miles.
Most recent example was KY - 34-3 with 10:37 left in the third quarter. Lead jumps to 41-3 with 3:27 remaining in the third quarter.
Where is Harris? On the bench.
No reason Harris should not have been in that game right after the 1st series of the 2nd Half, if not on the field in the 1st half. Miles is going to mess up the QB position again next year at this rate.

We're now 11 games into the season. If you would have asked this question early in the season, then yeah maybe playing more last year would have helped. However, Jennings now has 11 starts under his belt, including the bowl game last year, so there really are no more excuses. He's been in this system long enough and played in enough games that his minimal playing time last year should no longer be used as a crutch by anyone.

Couldn't be worse but probably not measurably better
