no because it is a talent/accuracy issue as much as a mental issue with him. I don't think we prepare our backups well enough in blow outs because Les is scared to be called out for running up the score. However, this isn't why AJ is worse than JJ ever imagined being.

Don't think so. Seen little to no improvement since the Bowl game against Iowa at the first of the year. Tried to convince my self that day that the coaches didn't want him to do anything too difficult. I now believe that he is just not talented enough to play big time SEC football. Again, JMO.

Maybe, maybe not. But we certainly would have had a better idea of what type of QB he could be before this season. The same with Rettig or Rivers.

Probably - but we would have a better idea of where we would be at QB.

No, but if we had an aggressive and hungry offensive staff, we'd be better.

No fire...no development...no wins.

If he played for someone else, yes.

His arm looks like a noodle when he throws. He dosent have the arm strength or accuracy to be an sec quaterback. He would struggle at almost any power 5 conference school. People need to stop making threads to attempt to defend him. Yes he's a great kid with great heart. But he does not have the talent. Period.

No.

He's played a lot this year and hasn't sbwon any signs of improvement.

He's just not a talented QB.

Exactly how I feel. Even in the Spring game, I chalked it up to defenses knowing the plays already, which is why Harris did so well playing backyard football in that game. I was again hoping that he would improve through the year, but hasn't. Like one guy said, he's a "can't get right". I believe he can improve, but that needs to happen as a backup, not starter.

In hindsight, letting Harris struggle through Wisconsin MSU and Auburn early on, would have made us much better by year's end.

Not only has he failed to progress, he is showing signs of getting worse.

We'll never know. But I think it would have put us in a better position to decide who is best for the program next year.

Of course there are many who believe CLM has already made that decision. Based on his actions it sure looks that way.

The offense has lots of problems but continuing a guessing game on who is the best QB like we have done in past seasons is not a solution either.

We have nothing to lose against TAM and whatever crappy bowl we end up in. I'll be disappointed if BH doesn't get some playing time during those two games.

I'll likely be disappointed...

Is he any better today than he was in September? He's played a ton (way more than he would have last year under any circumstances) since then. If that playing time hasn't made him any better from September to November, and obviously it hasn't, then it probably wouldn't have from last year to this year either. But give it time. He'll learn from experience and steadily improve until he becomes a great QB, just like Jordan Jefferson did.

Yep. Miles has apparently already decided that Brandon Harris has no place in the future of LSU football. The guy is a freaking genius at talent evaluation. In the tiny little bit of time Harris has played, Miles has seen enough to write him off forever. How lucky we are to have a coach who can evaluate a player so quickly that we don't waste time trying to develop him for the future instead of investing said future in such a promising prospect as Jennings.
