There are some sad people on this planet. 20 autographs from Aaron Nola.

Clay Dirks signed my beer can. I'm not sellin it though. So don't ask.

Oh and brad cresse signed a cereal box in Omaha for me when I was 13 in '98. I bet the stuff is stale now though

Who gives a shit? Are they Asking you for autographs? Probably not.

Looks like a case of penis envy..
If the kid wants to sign stuff, let him. Nobody is forcing him.
I buy some of the auto'd stuff for my church auction.
Since it's a win/win. I have no problem with it..

I don't know if you're mad at people for doing it just for selling purposes or that you are against adults getting autographs from college sports athletes. In response to the latter, why do you care? people like to collect things. People of all ages collect all things and autographed memorabilia should be the least frowned upon. Hell I would have loved a signed football phtograph of the secondary with Peterson, Claiborne, and Mathieu's name on it.

I can't imagine a situation where it would be ok for a grown man to ask an 18-22 year old to write his name on something, have some self pride

Yes this is what is wrong in today's world where if you're not conforming to the norm than something is wrong with you. Yes I will proudly write down that I would have liked a signed LSU football from Peterson, Claiborne and Mathieu. There are 20 and 21yr old A list actors and music entertainers that people would die over 2 get an autograph signed. Why is it not wrong when he's a pro? There is no major difference.

Look I've never cared to get anything signed in my life but if I happened into a situation where I met the three outside while playing catch, I'd definitely ask em to sign the football.

Big difference between one signature and these autograph hounds asking for a dozen signed items so they can be sold later

Grown men asking relatively obscure college baseball players, who are half their age, for autographs.

I've got a better one. Grown men going on a website discussing kids who are half their age. Or even better going tailgate then going watch kids who are half their age play football

Neither of those are better.

What do you plan on doing with your autographs?

I don't get autographs.

I was just making fun of you because of the hypocrisy in your statement.

Well they aren't half my age, I rarely discuss them and I haven't tailgated in a while. And neither is comparable to drooling over them in person and asking for their autographs. Plus, aren't you the mentally unstable type who always gets in a tizzy on here and other boards?

The person whose name you put in quotes in your post didn't mention anything about pro or amateur

re: Idiots outside the locker room last night...You should be ashamed of yourself
I can only speak for myself. But as a young adult I see nothing wrong with people of any age getting autograph. If this team makes it to "The Place with Steaks and Corn" (we don't speak of it by name) how special would it be to say you got a ball, program, poster, etc. signed by this team. This already a special team that made LSU history. Having something signed is like having a part of history. Will it be worth much monetarily, no. But the value you will be priceless you saw history being made. However, having 20 items is WAY too much, and also sounds exaggerated. Someone, also sounds butt hurt their kid didn't get an autograph. If you wanna talk getting a life how about the scalpers at the entrance to the hay field lot. As for me, I could understand 3-5 items because I might have friends or family the can't make it to the game, but they want a piece of history. I'm a history and sport buff and combine that with LSU and it's something I love! So to sum in my opinion, that someone with disagree with, there nothing wrong with getting an autograph no matter the age, 9-99, just keep it to a minimum, and keep your day job. People want a part of history can't fault them for that!

They should only allow kids to get autographs not grown men with a stack of posters. Get a life and real job

This is really sad. It reminds me of the 45 year-old dude at Football media day a few years back that was cutting in front of a 10 year-old to get a 18 year-olds autograph.... I wanted to PUNCH him in da face...............

Years ago, my father-in-law wanted a poster signed by players and coaches at the LSU meet the players day...I didn't want to wait in line anyway, so i just signed it myself several times - more as a joke than anything else.

He never knew the difference, and it's still hanging in his house, matted and framed.
