There's a fark of Patrick Peterson in a gold jersey I've seen on google and secrant. White pants, gold jersey, white helmets and it looks pretty clean.
All for keeping the traditional uniforms but I wouldn't be pissed if we saw them in these uniforms once a year for the LSU Gold game

For the Gold Game, use the gold jerseys, white pants, and white helmets.
One game, go with purple jerseys, gold pants (homecoming).
Otherwise, stick with tradition. And..........

When we first started the modern era tradition of the canary yellow in 1957 (may be off a year), we wore all gold (canary) against Florida. I can't upload a pic, so google 1957 LSU uniform and you can see kinda what it looked like. It is a black and white photo... the fourteenth pic on google. I have only seen one color pic of it, and i loved it. It's a shame i can't find one online anymore. We didn't do the stripes correct the few times we've worn gold in the recent past.
I think even Cannons Heisman painting is him in a gold jersey.

purple pants look fantastic. What, are you superstitious and think some loss to KY two decades ago was caused by the color of our pants?
Hell, we wear purple pants in practice all the time. And they look damn good. Break 'em out for some games.

i like the gold also.
we wore them in 96 against vandy, 97 indy bowl, and 98 at florida. BEfore those years you have to go all the way back to the 60's to see them.

I'm not a big fan of the white helmets when we wear them. If we do gold jerseys, I'd just as soon keep the gold helmets. However, someone mentioned how good the BB team looks with the gold jerseys, but the hats are always purple. Has anyone ever seen a purple LSU football helmet? I'm not suggesting it, just curious if its ever been drawn up.

I feel like white helmets, gold jerseys, and white pants is too similar to UCF. Some of the other variants like purple pants are too similar to Washington. They should be mimicking LSU, not the other way around.

yep. somebody had one done years ago and posted it online. too vikings esque for me. i love the canary yellow gold and white helmets. i have two full size like those autographed as well as the sparkling gold pro combat helmet we wore against arky in 2009.

If you need gold jerseys, go to a Vandy game. White helmets (a man made disaster) should only be worn after hurricanes(a natural disaster).

I like how people get upset about the thought and act like it's heresy because of tradition.
