Yay-hey! Are we hosting a regional?

This team is gonna wreck havoc in the tourney.

We are virtually guaranteed to host the first two rounds of the tourney regardless.

I believe Thurs is the next seeding reveal by the committee. That is the one that counts.

I don't trust that LSU would win a subjective decision over UCONN in women's basketball

They don't have to.

There are 4 #1 seeds in the Women's Tourney, just as in the Men's.

S. Carolina, Indiana, or Stanford will need an unlikely massive collapse to lose their 1 seed. The fourth is the only one up for grabs as of now between LSU, UCONN, Iowa, and Maryland

I dont care what a teams SoS looks like. If they keep winning in a conference like the SEC, you cant keep ignoring them.

They will be a 2 seed. OOC schedule killing them

And yet, they still have a top 4 NET ranking and Charlie Creme thinks they’re a 1 seed right now. We’ll see what the committee says tomorrow night, though.

Think we move up tomorrow but still can get jumped. We have to at least bring USC to the wire in the SEC tourney championship to get a 1. Iowa and Maryland could still make a move over us. If one of them wins the Big ten tourney they'll have to go through one of the other and Indiana, which would be two more top 10 wins. Iowa also gets Indiana at home Sunday.

My thoughts on UConn.

UConn will/should get downgraded for their lack of depth and recent results. The committee has said in the past that they factor in injuries. Including the game she originally got injured, UConn without their best player Azzi Fudd is 16-5. That is not the resume of a 1-seed.

eta: Also because this is as good of a thread as any to mention.

Angel Reese Record Book Watch: Between 4-11 games left.

Free Throws Attempted: 12 away from record
Free Throws Made: 24 away from record
Rebounds: 136 away from record; currently #7
Double-Doubles: 2 away from record (Not sure why Jackson isn't listed in this stat)
20-20 club: 4 away from Jackson's 8-times in 1 season record. Currently tied with Fowles for 2nd with 4 career 20-20 games at LSU.

Points: 79 to reach #10
Field Goals Made: 59 to reach #10
Field Goals Attempted: 123 to reach #10

I don’t think so either, but I also think that home court was a major reason for the outcomes.

TBH if UConn does get a 1 seed we will probably be paired with them as the 2. And neither of the regional sites are close to CT this year, so we won’t have to deal with what NC State had to last year when they played UConn basically in their backyard.
