I sincerely mean it when I say, go frick yourself.

The dude is balling out and has a smile on his face every time I see him. A great player to wear purple and gold.

Hypothetically if we run the table and he throws for 300 and runs for 150 in the title game...nothing left to prove and he gone

I don’t even think he would have to do that much. Even with a Bama loss, if he keeps showing he can consistently make reads and have above average accuracy, he could be at least a mid to late round pick. NFL GMs are salivating over fast dual threat QBs like Hurts. I think it would then just depend on whether Daniels wants to move on into the pros or come back with a chance to have a really special senior year and possibly elevate himself to a 1st rounder.

So you don’t want to talk about the complete game state because they don’t tell the whole story and your argument is based on two plays. Willfully ignorant

Maybe the fourth thread on the subject will exhaust the topic.

Which he won’t. Dude cannot see the field or read defenses. He’s at the mercy of a receiver getting WIDE open and even then he takes forever to throw, and when he does… he misses.

Go watch some asu jd highlights and tell me he’s not capable of a deep ball and that his arms not plenty strong. He’s not asked to do a ton of that here but he’s getting better at it. I’m sure you were pissed at a td because it was underthrown. We want him to take chances like that

He doesn’t pass well enough for the NFL. He can be a great college quarterback, but it probably won’t translate to the NFL.

He's completing 70% of his passes for the year. He does hold it to long but isn't consistently missing. There have been several drops and some poorly thrown balls that were caught, so the 70% number is pretty reflective of his ball placement. But if he starts consistently throwing it on time, the yardage per completion will go up as guys catch it in stride more often instead of having to slow down/stop/come back to the ball.

No not really.

He is a Jalen Hurts look-alike and with Hurts' success this season in the NFL I could see Daniels' stock rise easily into the middle of the second round, and if that happens he's as good as gone.

Teams want to draft what's working for other teams. It's truly a copycat league.

Remember the first 2 years Hurts couldn't throw a forward pass. Now look at him. Some team will think they can do something similar with Daniels.

You said Daniels sucks and you said to pump the brakes when people predicted a high-scoring win against Ole Miss. LSU won 45-20 and he was just named National QB of the Week while breaking the LSU single-season QB rushing record in just 8 games. Wrong twice.

You said he is not an SEC QB, yet LSU is tied for 1st place in the West with just 3 SEC games remaining. Wrong yet again. Either you're an imbecile or you get a kick out of always being wrong.

There's always a guy who is just a lot smarter than the rest of us and knows that his opinions about things are always correct. He cannot simply stand by and read other opinions, keeping his smugness to himself. No, he must disclose his opinion because he must prove that everyone who doesn't share it is a dumbass

Come to think of it, this board has thousands of people like this.

Can someone who says "he cannot read defenses" explain to us what QBs in college make a living reading defenses??? There's not many who can or do. The plays that are called in today's offenses are simple and take QBs through 2 maybe 3 reads if he's special. Stop bagging on the kid, and let him continue to progress.

Oh, I guess we’re too busy watching him put up 1100 yards of O, 12 touchdowns, and completing over 70% of his passes in his last 3 games and being named quarterback of the week in college football to see how bad he is playing. lol

No one is saying that the guy can’t play better or that he hasn’t made mistakes so far this season, but how anyone can complain too much about what he’s been doing recently is beyond me. It’s like some people made up their mind that he really isn’t a SEC type quarterback and they’re going to stick with that decision no matter how good he might play.

Stop quoting the stats. They don’t tell the whole story. BTJ and Jenkins passes tell the story. He will get eaten alive by the secondary if he pulls that against Bama. Hopefully we tailor our offense to be short 5-8 yard passes, which he still throws behind the receivers. Maybe they’re getting better at expecting that.

So statistics over the course of three games “don’t tell the whole story” but 2 passes do?

Please explain how that makes any logical sense, at all, whatsoever.

Good grief.

someone didn't watch the last two SEC games where the offense scored 90 points.

Well, I’m pretty sure we will all know JD’s decision before draft day.

Why does that make him a dumbass?

Unless the injury changed up his game, MB had proven that he could play at a high level.

I am glad that Daniels has improved (greatly).

I also hope that Daniels comes back next year.

BK went with the long term view (wisely) knowing he had a honeymoon season.

But that is no reason to shite on MB.
