you're right. I was pumped to see Alabama beat LSU in the dome. That's why I spent so much on a ticket to the game I spent 5 years at LSU, yet I'm an Alabama fan. Your redneck logic is going strong this morning son.

he's top 10 today for sure. Probably top 4 or 5. I just meant as of now he's not even around the top 10 ever but he could work his way into that discussion. There are a shite ton of great coaches who aren't in the top 10 ever

Les is by far the best coach we have ever had. There are approximately 118 schools that would love to be #2 in the nation. 1/9 was hard to stomach and it hurt, but I remain proud to be a Tiger fan. Always have, always will.

In looking at all the Head Coaches/ Potential Head Coaches out there, Les is as good as we'll get.
He's loyal. He hires great assistants. He recruits well. He runs a pretty clean program. He has us in the mix for a Division Title every year.
Les is one of the Top 10 College Head Coaches right now, and I'm glad he's ours.
As far as the #2 on the rings goes - He is both acknowledging a tremendous accomplishment but also motivating his next team.
The 2011 season was tremendous. We were wire-to-wire #1 in the BCS until Jan 9th.
We dominated everyone except Alabama, and we split with them.
As it turns out, Alabama was the best team. We were the second best team out of 118 or 120.
Get over it people. I'll take 13-1 every time.

Does he frustrate me sometimes? Sure. Can he be stubborn? Yep.
I don't hate him at all. But somehow you and other posters interpret your "frustration" as being legit while others who have frustration and express it are 'haters' or somehow their emotion is not legit. That's what frustrates me about this site, you have different rules for different people.

I think that if you are using methodology and conventional (coaching) wisdom, Elleshoe is correct, he doesn't even sniff the top 10.
It depends on how you want to look at the situation- results or process???
And I have said always and will maintain, because of this, Miles is an enigma. He's unconventional and therefore people do not know how to 'rank' him. He's had many major gaffes on national TV, so it 'looks' bad to the observer, but the results are statistics that are hard to deny.
