I wish people would stop bringing up the name of Less Miles.

It was the right move to fire his goofy arse.
Should have been done a few years earlier, truth be known.
The O hiring, which is an obvious mistake, is still a separate issue.

Les wouldn't have lost to Troy

Most people at this point knew it was time to get rid of Miles and believe that the O hire was a mistake. But if everyone had to choose which one they would want out of the two, it would be Miles. There's no question about that anymore.

“Less”
So edgy. Does your mommy know you spelled it like that?

Miles will always be a great example of "be careful what you wish for."
For whatever reason, fools thought that Miles was as bad as it could possibly get at LSU. I actually started a thread 3-4 years ago using examples of coaches with his track record being replaced, and Boise State was basically the only school who successfully replaced a coach with a 75% winning rate on the first try.
So many people thought you could get rid of Miles and step right into a successful HC, despite the fact that history says otherwise.
It was still the right decision, but I think people will finally appreciate that not just any buffoon can win 8-10 games a year at LSU.

Is anyone arguing otherwise?
Miles was done. His offenses were absolutely brutal. But you don't fire him for O.
Most we're just hoping O would prove us wrong.

Seeing as there are rumors that O conspired to get him fired, it's the same issue actually.

quote:you're missing the point if you believe they are bringing up Les' firing as a mistake. They are saying you don't fire Miles and make a shite hire like this no education, shrimping boot wearing, back swamp ignoramous.

That's what they are saying. It was the right thing to do, but you don't do it FULLY KNOWING you were hiring this dumbass.
We know that there was really never any other candidates after the Bama game.

Well, 95% of this fanbase was conspiring to get him fired.
As a fanbase the consensus was Miles was done.
It's funny seeing this site crawfish on that subject. We thought we had Herman or Jimbo.
