Seems like it’s been years since we actually did anything other than fair catch a punt.
Just think- every game we played was without any chance of a special teams score.

The last LSU punt returner (the type that opponents avoided kicking to) that I recall is TM7.

Before him was:

Trindon Holliday

Kevin Faulk

Eddie Kennison

Todd Kinchen

The question to ask is, did O tell him he wanted punts fair caught or was it McMahon?

Ah yes, another good one.

I've forgotten some or maybe my mental criteria is that the ones I'm thinking of were guys the other team were consistently afraid to kick to.

He was the best punt returner in the nation one year he returned IIRC.

Eddie Kennison was the most electric returner to wear the purple and gold. Dude was such a threat every time he fielded one the opposing teams literally quit punting anywhere in the field of play. Witnessed it with my own eyes. Watched him locally in high school. Never saw someone so fast other than Efrem Davis of Lake Charles High. Another LSU track star.
