I think its pretty weak that Alabama (after getting beat in their own house) gets to finish their weak a** remaining schedule with no pressure and cruise into a national title game while LSU has to continue to prove themselves...mostly on the road to get to the BCS title game with the possibility of getting knocked out of the picture if the lose one game. Thats pathetic!!

If Bama gets in then it means LSU was penalized for winning the first game vs the Tide. How screwed up is that?

Although, LSU would be SEC Champs!

It's by no means a given that Bama could slide into the title game. Media personalities may be clamoring for a rematch, but I'm hoping human polls have a little sense and don't permit an SEC vs. SEC national championship.

Oregon winning out would have played an extra game. Oklahoma winning out would have won their conference. In the off chance that Arkansas wins out, they will have won their conference. Clemson doesn't have a chance to jump Bama. A rematch between LSU and Alabama isn't a given.

Media is saying oklahoma needed OSU to be undefeated to jump Bama and oregon. But if USC beats the ducks tonight, OU would move to no. 3. So if they win bedlam, they would be a conference champ and would only have to jump ONE team- Bama. I think most voters would put the sooners ahead of bama to avoid a rematch. So, in my opinion Oklahoma may be in with an oregon loss.

U can't lose late. Bama lost 2 weeks ago at home, they do not deserve another shot. Oregon has a better arrangement. If OK. wins against OK st. I would like to see the Tigers play them. The Gumps are the biggest wieners in the country. They never in the history ever lost a game. They were always robed. or the referee's gave the other team the victory.

I couldn't have said it better. LSU would be penalized for winning the Alabama game. The way things are working out we'd of been better off losing that game and we damm sure gained nothing by playing Oregon to open the season.

we don't. lsu can lose a game and still play for a NC. Bama can't.

bama getting a rematch is unfair for two reasons:

1. they lost, at home, with a brilliant coach

2. since LSU won, they then have to go risk it all in another game, against a top 15 team, away from home. while bama just keeps sliding up the polls.

Before the LSU/Bama game was played the talk was a rematch would happen if LSU lost a close game. For some reason Bama losing at home does not matter now.

Let's roll the tide one more time!

this would happen all the time if there were a playoff. like the nfl, some teams could rest their starters and not risk injury while others can't. in this case, the sec championship would get cheapened. lsu could lay down and get in the playoffs.
