Frick that Co-BS. I don't want no "Sloanton Monster" rearing its ugly head. Miracle Worker Joe calling the plays and coaching QB's. Hankton coaching WR's.....

Don't get hung up on terminology. As long as Sloan is designated the primary play-caller, Hankton's role doesn't change much. He's already "passing game coordinator". Calling Hankton co-OC when Sloan is calling the plays just means Cortez is involved in creating the game plan, which he damn well ought to be doing already. Michigan and Georgia have done fine with Co-DCs. If it takes a Co-OC title to keep Hankton happy, I'm all for it. He's doing a good job.

Well, Ancient Rome was once governed as a TRIUMVIRATE, and that worked out well. Surely LSU football can handle two OCs, if they know what they're doing

When was the last time co-coordinators had major success?

Hate co-coordinator idea. Fine for that one game in the interim but not permanently. I don't know how either of these two guys would do as OC but please no co-OC! Hope we can keep them in their roles for longer.

I don't know why some people don't like to have Co-Offensive Coordinators. The last time we won a Natty, we had Co-Offensive Coordinators.

Because they rarely work.

If you can’t understand that in 2019 that was THE exception then no one can help you. In 2019, we didn’t have 2 up and coming, highly ambitious co-coordinators. We had an older, very confident, and highly self assured, and the most unselfish, pro LSU guy ever in Ensminger and a young, ambitious coach that left after one year to go to the NFL. It was the perfect storm and THE exception.

Look up the defensive coordinatorS at Georgia

Look up the offensive coordinatorS at Clemson during their multiple national championships

Look up the defensive coordinatorS on the 2003 OU team we faced in the NC

Hell Michigan currently has co coordinators on the defensive side
