Youre stupid. Miles took over a program with 2 top 15 finishes in 7 years. Orgeron is taking over a prohram with 4 top 16 finishes in 5 years.

How many national titles have we won in last 5 years? and sec titles?

Lets not even mention the fact that one is following a fired coach that wasn't getting the job done...but your dumbass wants to say LSU is in better shape now than when Saban left

Holy shite.

So 1 top 5 finish in 2 decades is better than a decade averaging 10 wins and 2 national title game appearances and 2 sec titles?

The lengths youll go to try to shite on miles is commendable. You actually think 2005 lsu is more prestigious than a lsu with 2 more title game appearances and a decade of 10 win seasons.

Saban's tenure= 16 losses 12 conf

Miles last 5 years=15 losses 12 conf losses

Saban's tenure= 2 top 15 finshes

Miles last 5 year= 3 top 15 finishes

Youre fricking stupid.

If lsu was so set up in 2004 why the hell did the greatest coach of our generation, and maybe ever, lose 3 games in year 5 of his tenure?

Im not even counting how shitty the sec west was in Saban's entire tenure.
Saban's entire tenure consisted of 3 west teams(only 2 programs lsu and auburn) with top 10 finishes while in miles last 5 years 6 west programs have top 10 finishes.

The over romanticizing of Saban's tenure is ridiculous. Its like you all forgot how sloppy we looked under Sabann its liek you forgot we used to have tons of penalties. Its like you forgot that, yes even under Lord Saban,we lost to inferior teams EVERY SINGLE YEAR. i will always be thankful for Saban starting the process of locking down the state but he fricked up every year too.

That's the shitty thinking that got us in this position to begin with, clown.

Because topwater trout says so.
Its amazing how all these posters tbat actually believe Miles ran our program into ground dont have facts backing them up.
No unbiased person would say lsu is worse off than in 2004. I wont even get into how saban had straight up stopped recruiting in 2004. He stopped recruiting and left Miles all of 1 month to recruit. We signed all of 13 recruits in 2005.

Im still waiting on someone to explain how 1 top 5 finish in in 2 decades is better than 1 top 5 in 2 decades PLUS a decade of averaging 10 wins, 3 sec west titles and 2 NCG appearances.

ok you tell me what program is in better shape

Program A-2 sec titles and a BCSNC in 5 years and T-3rd 3 years in SEC with 3-2 bowl record in mostly big bowls

or

Program B- No championships of any kind. 2nd, 3rd twice, 4th, and this year, 2-2 bowl record (no good bowls) and pending a bowl this year

If that's what you expect then why even get rid of Miles in the first place?

9-10 wins is more palatable just because it's the best the guy can do?

I keep hearing he better than Miles. If that doesn't show up in wins and losses then what's it worth?

I will say I am glad Miles is gone and they should have done it after last year. However anyone who said he left this program worse than it was when he got here is not very bright.

Or we are a program that has 2 BCS Championships and an appearing in a third. 2 more SEC championships and a ton of talent from the last 3 recruiting classes.

Miles may have not been a great coach the last five years as you have stated, however this program is still a top 5 school in the grand scheme of things. There is more than just wins and losses involved in a bigtime program.the big difference between then and now is that this team is much more fun to watch than when Miles was here....

It was time for miles to go. His refusal to modernize his offense was his undoing.

So youre not gonna take into account that the sec west was shite during Saban's era? Only 2 programs had top 10 finishes.
The last 5 years under miles the west has had 6 sec west programs with top 10 finishes and mile still had a better win loss record than Saban's tenure at lsu.
Only someone that has an agenda would say lsu is worse off than when miles took over. Miles tenure had more top 5 finishes than Saban, mac, and Dietzel combined and youre really arguing tbat Miles didnt enhance lsu prestige? Youre saying a coach that has the best win % in lsu history hurt lsu?
Since the creation of the sec only 6 coaches have won at a higher rate than Miles and you think he hurt lsu? It was time for miles to go but you cant deny his success at lsu. Well you can but youll just be perceived has pushing an agenda of hate for miles.
