Our fans love the backups until they go into a couple games and throw 6 pick 6's. We don't know how much any of these guys will progress or regress.

It's a dmn good problem to have 3 QB's we feel can get the job done one way or another. We need to stop this public favorites sht. Everyone questioned CBK to start the season then quickly found out that Nuss was not ready after he gifted points and throws to Southern...Southern. And here we are again, thinking the fans know best.

Nuss may have played the game of his life with nothing to lose and UGA not spending one ounce or prep on him. We don't know what he has looked like in practice. I'll root for whoever steps on the field.

So keep that same energy for nussmeier then. we were down 35-7 he had no pressure just go out there and air it out.

LSU was down what, 25? I’m sure that had nothing to do with it.

The game was competitive in the first half

A couple of fluke plays let it get away

Explain
This is about the long game. Unless Kelly has his mind made up about the kid he is bringing in to take Daniels place, then his best option is to take lumps this season and let Howard or Nuss play because they will push the ball downfield. An archaic offense like they want to run with 2 TE sets is not going to work in the SEC unless you’re absolutely GREAT AT RB and Oline. Otherwise, the defenses are too big and gas in the SEC unless your QB can push it. Daniels holds on to the ball so much that HE is the reason for sacks and being one dimensional. This was the problem with Manziel as it is with his. Hold him in the pocket until the pressure gets that. Before dumbasses come here with that bull shite “slow developing play”, Daniels had 4-5 seconds A shite LOAD last season and sat back. His chicken shite “don’t throw a pick” bull shite was called out by Kelly himself. Short crossing routes are an open or you throw them open.

Hopefully there will be an open competition this spring with the best QB getting the job. We cannot go through another year with subpar passing with our receivers

Look at Arky, Auburn and TAMU games and you’ll get your answer on why. He can’t beat you downfield. Hold him in the pocket and you beat him. End of story.

Best thing for LSU is for Daniels to sit.

TOP CONTENDERS IF THEY RETURN: QB JAYDEN DANIELS, LSU TIGERS & QB BO NIX, OREGON DUCKS LSU’s Jayden Daniels was the third-most valuable player in the country this season, according to PFF’s wins above average metric. The junior’s 0.6% turnover-worthy play rate was the lowest among all quarterbacks in the country, and he was the lone such player to rush for 1,000 yards. Plus, he’ll have no shortage of weapons if he decides to stay for 2023, as the Tigers return three of their top four receivers in Kayshon Boutte, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.

One thing that separates great QBs from average QBs is the ability to focus downfield even when the blitz is coming.

It is not a learned skill, you either have it or you do not. JB9 had it in spades, to some extent yet to be determined Nuss and likely Howard both have it.

We'll never know because CBK guaranteed the starting job to Daniel's.

When Daniel's pulls the ball down and runs he is no longer looking downfield for receivers.

Unless Kelly breaks his promise to Daniel's, we will next see Nussmeir on the Alabama or Auburn or UF sideline and Tiger fans will regret not giving Nuss a fair shot.

Burrow didn't wow us his first year at LSU until the bowl game. Look what happened the following year

Not unless he becomes a pass first run second QB. Not unless he isn’t scared to throw the ball to a receiver that isn’t open by 10 yards.

This place is easily the most retarded on the internet. If anyone has any interactions with LSU fans outside TD.com this is the only place that doesn't praise JD. Posts like this make this place the laughing stock of the internet. Even the paid pundits laugh at the comments here about JD.

He will also be staring in the face of the NFL draft. He will want to be a better QB to improve his draft status.

That is a huge motivator for young players. I think he’s going to let it rip.

OL was fine

We didn’t have a running back in the top 20 of the SEC in yards or scoring and we gave up lots of sacks but the OL was “fine”. lol. Yeah, yeah I know, all the sacks was cause our QB held the ball to long. lol

JD was fricking terrible

JD was actually the only person in the LSU backfield who actually had some reasonably good scoring and rushing stats and he ranked 6 out of 14 of SEC passers

3600 total yards, 27 total touchdowns, a passing percentage of almost 70%, three interceptions, team player voted most valuable by his teammates, and helping to guide our LSU to the West title in no way equates to a bad or terrible performance. Anyone who thinks so is either a troll or a few cards short of a full deck when it comes to SEC football.

Now mention his performances the rest of the season like the Florida game

You retards need to look at historic LSU QBs and look where his season is on the list. You'd be surprised. LSU's run game isn't even that good and he would've exposed the backfield for how mediocre it actually is if he didn't play. The RB room is not that talented and his zone reads allowed defenses to key in on him opening the RBs up. He was your leading rusher. That says all you need to know at the lack of run game/talent there right now. He was almost the entirety of the offense.

I still think LSU needs to target a big time RB in the portal. Past 3 years at RB have been LSU's least talented in decades.

good luck wit dat! we are back to the miles pumper poster days of throwing out a record or some stats with zero context, that do NOT tell the whole story of performances UNLESS you actually watch the games and know WTF you are watching.
