I think LSU has 3 games it needs to win first in which none will be a cake walk like some posters believe

So the lesson is that losing that game in Tuscaloosa was actually beneficial than winning. Makes sense.

Hopefully the human voters will snatch a BCSCG slot away from Alabama like the did to Peyton and the Heisman back in 1997..

I think Oklahoma has to throttle Oklahoma State.

Then I can see it happening.

Would also help if Oregon has a lackluster game vs USC and/or the PAC 12 CG opponent.

Same for Alabama maybe stumbling into a close win vs Auburn.

Still a ways to go and some scenarios to play itself out.

They'll also look at the wins each team has.. and Oregon has a road win vs Stanford

Don't disagree with that, but I still believe that they will put more emphasis on the fact that each team played LSU and the outcome of those games.

Oklahoma is out of the picture. They needed OSU to win tonight; this all but killed their chances...

OK lost to Texas Tech who wasn't even rated and they still need to beat OK St

True.

However, if OK beats a #11 Oklahoma State, then beats say a #16 Kansas St in the Big 12 CG, you could see voters vault OK into the NCG just to see a team that hasn't already lost to LSU.

Agreed. They didn't want a rematch of tOSU/Michigan in '06 after the two faced at the end of the regular season.

No B12CG. A conference needs 12 teams to have a CG.

OK isn't out of the picture yet, although this certainly hurt their chances. Arky and UGA first though, then worry about the BCSNCG opponent

Don't care as long as Alabama doesn't get a second chance. Hate that school. They could trot Houston up there for all I care.

If LSU lost v. Bama, would LSU still be ranked no. 2?

Watch out for the Bammer Mafia.

I think OU has a maffia too. I still don't think the voters will put in a team that won't win their own division if LSU wins out. It's now a great argument between all the 1 loss schools. The thing the other 1 loss schools have over bama is they will be conference winners.

Irrespective to all of this, the BCS Championship game should be played between the two best teams in the country; and although I think it's unfair that Alabama gets in, I don't think there is any doubt as to who the two best teams in the country are---and that's us and Baba. The Gumps would dismantle Oregon just like we did....and I think most of us who are objective, like Bama or not, no this.

Having Bama rematch LSU would completely discredit all the lame arse excuses for the NCAA not having a playoff system. They say no playoff format makes the regular season more important. We already beat Bama. If they want a rematch, then start a damn playoff format. Until then, make the regular season count.

I'm not saying that Alabama isn't the second best team, but do not underestimate the sentiment outside of the South AGAINST SEC dominance. They will NOT want an all SEC championship game.

Bottom line is when shouldn't be concerned with any of this. Isn't it great to finally be in a position to control our own destiny? As other posters have said "we just need to focus on three more games"---none of this other stuff matters.

Oregon plays a CCG, that is going to pick them up points. LSU-Ducks, as long as both schools take care of business the rest of the way.

I think you're right. I thought the Big 12 had a conference championship game, but they don't anymore. I think that ultimately screws OU if they manage to beat Okie st. If Oregon wins out (incl. PAC 12 championship game), it's LSU-Oregon.
