It is just too stupid to believe, and I can't see how the admin will get away with it. It just seems inevitable that this decision will cost both Alleva and O their jobs; how they don't realize this is beyond me. Too lazy to research and interview a real Offensive Coordinator, just like Alleva was too lazy to research and interview a real fricking Head coach. How much are these guys getting paid again?

Me too. This has to be an erroneous report. This would be career suicide for O and Alleva, at least at this point.

It’s a disaster.

If these hires turn out to be reality, my interest for next season will drop about 80%. I think O just wants "yes"men around him.

Wouldn't even be the worst coaching hire we made in the last 12 months

If announced, they won’t make it through the end of the week.

Prepare yourself

It's done unless Ensminger backs out

I dont think Steve wants the job but will step up because he wants to help LSU.

This aint on him, its on O and Alleva

If O sort of "strong-arms" Steve into taking the position, that's not good. That's not for the betterment of the program, not in the long run.

I kept thinking from the beginning it’d be Ensminger just Bc it’d be such a lazy sad hire. But then again, it’s such a dumb hire that O couldn’t possibly really do it.

But then again...

It’s absurd that he would even be considered, whether he wants the job or not. This isn’t some desperate situation where LSU needs a reluctant hero. Is it?

If LSU hires a failed HC/DL coach as their HC that's too stupid to believe... oh wait.

Only reason I can think of is maybe Alleva told 0 that the only way he could afford to break the bank for Aranda is he'd have to offset the cost with a dud like Ensminger

It's probably going to happen but the way the staff handled Aranda has at least earned the right (from me) to wait until the official announcement.

Why don't you believe it? LSU is paying Canada to leave, paying Aranda a lot more so he doesn't leave and still paying Miles for leaving. This is O's version of a super-saver hire. O has more money to hire better coaches at LSU compared to when he was at Ole Miss, but that doesn't mean he will meddle any less...and that was his downfall the 1st time around as a head coach.
