That is what football was meant to be.
Hit your opponent so hard and so often that he crumbles.
Break his spirit.
Wear him out.
Destroy his confidence.
Let him know he was BEATEN, not simply out scored.
Prove that you are better and stronger and meaner.

You want to light up the scoreboard, watch the NBA.

like blacklege said a 100 times last night calling the bama/tenn game. Destroy their spirits and break their will. Bama makes teams quit. They have their S&C coach last night with 4 fingers up the whole game. I personally wanted to put him in a headlock.

definitely made miles quit on 1-9.

otherwise he would have been in 2 minute offense in the 4th quarter at least trying to win the damn game or AT LEAST go down swinging.

Damn right Gray - I am right there with you. I love our style of play. Watching our RBs tear it up is awesomeness.

Those both need to improve, but I do like smash mouth football and tough defense.

At what point during the 2/16 on third downs did we "wear them down, break their spirit, destroy their confidence"?

We had a chance with 6 minutes left to attempt that, and Les Miles went full retard into a hurry up offense, pass 4 out of 6 plays....punt.

Both of those instances we got beat by smash mouth football. We were also 13-1 last season and 7-1 so far this season. It seems to work better than most other teams.

I like scoring points. You know, the purpose of an offense.

right. plenty of which was due to short fields and the d and special teams scoring and getting turnovers. you are not running against 8 or 9 in the damn box every damn year. it is insanity to think you will consistently especially against the better teams.

I understand what you are saying but I will continue to point out the positives of last year and this season as long as the nega tigers continue to pounce on the few negatives of this team. Just be fair in your assesment of this coaching staff and team. I don't think that a lot of the "nega tigers" do that. I don't know if you are one, but if you are then so be it.
