If we don't get it together and continue our avg performance not only hitting and pitching wise. Question is will this go down as Top five most disappointing seasons in LSU baseball if we don't get past our regionals?

Yes, which is a shame considering how last season was arguably one of the most underrated seasons.

yes, yes it will. our expectations were pretty damn high with what we returned from last year, esp pitchers. now, they all seem to suck in big games. we really haven't beat any top quality teams. the word mediocre comes to mind.

Easily has to and with what this team is losing this year, it might be a few more before we host a regional again.

How ironic that we may have finally found a third starter this year for Sunday games and the Friday and Saturday guys become a box of chocolates.

I think it's starting to make sense to me now.
Maneiri likes little, scrappy players, like he was.
Maneiri is better as an underdog, like he was and the team was last year. He cannot handle being the favorite. He either puts too much pressure on the team, or gets cocky and lackadaisical, like 2010.

2009 torpedoes that argument.

I was just thinking, are we the smallest team in physical stature, every year, in the SEC.

Maybe. To be really disappointed, your expectations have to be really high. It's been a while since I've had expectations high enough to be top-five level disappointed. Doesn't matter who our players are, we are usually going to disappoint anyone who expects anything beyond getting to a super, and no way we ever win another CWS title with the current coach. I usually expect a pretty good regular season and then an earlier exit from the NCAA tournament than our seeding implies. This year, we aren't even getting a good regular season, so it's definitely a disappointment.
