I wasn't tying to diminish the weight of an SEC title. I know it was a big deal. But in that season, as well as the team was playing, and all the historic weight that team would've carried with it had we won the BCS, it just seems like even though we won the conference it seemed like it didn't matter because of who the opponent was on Jan.9
I was a student at LSU that year and had a blast attending every game. if there are any players who were there that night...I want to know what happened. however painful it was, just rip the band-aid off and tell us wtf happened that night. that wasn't the same team.

Was a great year to be a freshman but I almost don't like thinking of that season at all because how it ended. Also I went to the 9-6 game and my memory of that game is way less significant because of what happened on 1/9

it was. The results of that one game did not change going undefeated against the toughest schedules LSU has ever played.
The thing that really bothers me about that season is how quickly that team was written off by both our fans, the media and the rest of the country. I'd put that 2011 team up against any team going back to the 2001 Miami team, and that's with mediocre (at best) QB play. If we would have had a good QB, I can't even imagine...
