HBCUs are fraught with incompetence and corruption. It’s about getting your cousin a job, not executing the mission of the school. Southern is run probably a little worse than a Baton Rouge outreach program like Silky Slim midnight basketball.

I know a dude who played for a HBCU, he said they would pass around trays with blunts on them in the locker room after practice. He said it was lit and super fun.

I'm uncertain about his 2019 situation. How does Med RS work? The article from SDS citing his injury said he'd be out 2 months. He was out much longer than that.

But he was a bit overhyped in High School, though he was very good. It's not his fault he was overhyped, though. Some of that here was because he played in BR I think. My son watched him play vs LCA in the state semifinals (I think though could have been quarters). LCA won and Kardell was good but not great. Ironically, one of the people that gave him trouble was a freshman named Fitzgerald West. LCA went on to win state that year.
Neither Fitz nor Kardell panned out for LSU, I do wish they had because I think it is always good when in-state kids pan out. It encourages state recruiting IMO. However, there have been plenty who have.

Curious about the phrase " thanks to all who reached out". Does he mean before he entered transfer portal? Is it OK now to contact players at a school. There is no tampering anymore? Crazy.

He had a significant injury as a true freshman in '19 but worked back and started a couple games late in '21.
He contributed to a SWAC/ HBCU championship at FAMU.
He'll have 2 degrees 5 years out of HS (1 each from LSU and FAMU).
FAMU's head coach left to be an assistant at Duke this offseason.
Apparently he's already gotten into farming/ entrepreneurship.
What's the problem with Kardell's work ethic and honor?
