I just want one question about Pennix answered compared to Daniels if Pennix wins.

If your record is a huge factor then explain the two games below, a loss for LSU and a win for Washington and tell me who was the better of the two QB’s?

A lot of people point to the Ole Miss loss as what could cost Daniels the Heisman

Ole Miss -55
LSU - 49

Daniels stats
27/36
414 yards passing
4 TD
99 yards rushing
1 TD

However look at this gem by Pennix below in which he had nothing to do with the win.

Washington - 15
Arizona State - 7

Pennix stats
27/42
275 yards passing
0 TDS
2 Int
-1 yard rushing

ASU missed two fields goals and the Washington defense had a pick 6 when losing in the 4th.

I guess because 1-5 ASU sucks and the Washington defense is good Pennix deserves the Heisman.

It doesn't matter. Teams' records is a large part of what Heisman voters look at now. No matter how fair it is. Goes along with it being unfair how defensive players are never even really considered seriously anymore. It's pretty much become who is the best RB or QB on a top 5 team.

The only person that I could see them choosing over Daniels is Nix. We really need Daniels to finish strong and Nix to lose again to Washington. It would be really nice if our defense could find the testicular fortitude to dominate aTm and get Daniels the ball as many times as they can. If Daniels can light aTm on fire, I think it’s his. Nix hasn’t played near the defenses Daniels has.

Didn’t the winner, just last year, have 2 losses? And a few more winners in the last 10 years or so have 2-3 losses? Yeah I’m sure it weighs on some voters but even the most recent winner had 2 losses before the voting.

That seems to be a media point. Past precedent has a long list of 2, 3, and 4 loss winners in the last 50-60 yrs. Not as common of late though.

To me the issue with Penix is that he has negative rushing yrds for the season. One dimensional player that I think will get exposed real quick in the playoffs if they make it.

Bruh, this is like voting for prom King. We all know who is the best player, not only this year, but in the majority of years.

I have a few:

Why?
What actual criteria were the voters using?
In a straight-up stat comparison, how blind are you that you can't see that Daniels' stats are better?
If the award goes to the most valuable player, not a good player on an undefeated team. EVERYONE and their grandmother saw what happens to LSU's offense when Daniels is forced to not play (lookin' at you Dirty Dallas Turner) if Nix or Penix are removed from the lineup, do their offenses cease to function?

If anyone other than Jayden wins the award, the whole thing is invalidated in my mind.
