+1. That edginess/attitude is a major part of what makes him special.

It ain't bragging if you can back it up.

That's a fairly "intelligent" assesment there. Go look at some of the great DB's and tell me who played the game with his mouth shut...Deion Sanders? Ronnie Lott? Charles Woodson? Champ Bailey? Football and Basketball is full of it.

and the DB isnt even that good!

I staunchly disagree with you. The players are there to play a game, not trash the game and the other players.

I have zero problem with the swag talk

Only thing that worries me is doing it in SEC games down the road.

It could cost LSU at some point in a big game. I guess Les knows what's going on and will decide what's best.

I am sure that once he gets flagged for it, the talking will be toned down. If he isn't smart enough to figure it out himself, I'm sure Les will explain it to him.

I love watching him play but, when he starts that crap it reminds of old school U of Miami. I hated when UM did it and I hate it now. Now if he is doing it in a sportsman like manner then ok, but it looks like crap.

The SEC officials will let him do it for five games and then start flagging him like crazy in Tuscaloosa.

I'm only worried about the bama game in Alabama.

With the refs having total control with the new subjective celebration penalties and taunting penalties..

It makes me cringe

He needs to emulate Kevin Faulk and let his play on the field do his talking.I'm afraid the officials are going wait for the most unopportune time in a crucial situation to flag him for an infraction for taunting.I saw the officials flag Chad Jones's brother for doing what he had been doing all season long one game and it led to the other team scoring. It only takes one time.

total effin immature stupidity....

if they had called him for taunting, as they should have in the in the second half.. think it was the end of the 3rd or beginning of the 4th.
It would have given WV a first down instead of ending the drive.

yes, that would have been very intelligently

The attitude is one thing...no problem.
The taunting is stupid...you leave the door open to penalties and you may cost your team a game if not more.

Play hard, but play smart

Maybe so, (I have not) but here you are simply giving your opinion. Your opinion is that it offends your sensibilities and that the young men playing the game before family, friends and fans should conduct themselves with greater decorum.

Others on here disagree and love the antics and the impact they can have on the other team and thus the game.

Only thing I find funny is that if TM was on any other team besides lsu and was running his mouth like this you people would be singing different tune.
Wouldn't be so cool then.

Guy > 35 = Has wisdom and sees this being a problem, especially during a very close/big game and a 15 yard penalty changes the game. Outside of that, it presents LSU as a thug team much like Miami and Auburn.

Kids < 30 = Wow, he bad arse...frick the old guys...we got swag...we thuggin.....frick yeah....

But I digress, what do older guys know about wisdom.

You = Small world view.

Him (Tulane) = Big world view

There is your difference...you are just too young and dumb to understand yet.
