Well when he follows up the best coach of our generation, those are big shoes to fill.

OK but Saban wasn't close to that at lsu. He won the west with 3 losses in 2001. If Miles could win the west with 3 losses he'd have 8 sec west titles. Saban at lsu was no where near the saban at Bama. Also, this notion that Saban came into a program with no talent is absolutely bullshite. His first team in 2000 had some of the best players to ever where purple and gold at their positions and that 2000 team had 14 future nfl players. He lost 4 games. The 2001 team had more talent than the 2013 team and he lost 3 games in a far worse sec than in 2013 ( 3 losses won the west).

Miles just gave lsu it's most successful 10 year stretch ever and lsu "fans" treat him like he barely makes bowl games. The program has finished in the top 15 8 of his 10 seasons.

Oh for god's sake....first it is JJ now great defender of Miles. CLM is a grown man who doesn't need anybody protecting his virtues.

Tiger players bailed Les out of several games LSU would have lost. A coach is only good as his last season and 4-4 in the SEC for 5 million a year is not what fans will except.Yes it is true Les gave us the best 10 years and LSU paid him the best 40 million he has ever seen. But Les's stubborness has caused top notch QBs to either shy away from signing day or transfer away. He has been a double edge sword and if the passing game does not step it up this year he will cut his own neck.

I for one welcome Coach O with open arms and will enjoy his passion and fired up personality . GO BIG OOOOOOOooooooooo

Who recruited those players? Would those players be here if wasn't for Les?

Most of those players came because LSU is LSU and Saban brought LSU back.In fact 5 star Louisiana WR's still come to LSU DESPITE the fact that LSU does not yet have a QB to throw quality balls to them.

Now we have an enthusiastic Coach O who loves LSU and we will be celebrating his passionate energy to the sidelines. I'm hoping Harris will turn LSU QB position around so that quality 5 star QBs at LSU will be common place.

I think having coordinator/line coach on sideline will be huge for defense. Orgeron will make huge difference during games with sideline intensity. All you fricks can say what you want but LSU has been underachieving since last SEC Championship game and Les' shitck has lost it's charm on a lot of fans since. I commend him for offseason moves. I still wonder about offense and coaching. We can blame it all on "sub par" QB play but coaches bear a lot of responsibility. Wish we had a coach O type on sidelines coaching up BH.... Not just a headset to Cam in the box.

You haven't heard? Les miles has already given coach O full control of the entire football team.
