It doesn't matter who the QB is as long as they play well and the team wins.

Oh, my. Who Shunned you? Those responsible should be tracked down. Inexcusable.

No matter the starter, it will be the right guy. The days of the stagnant, "Rope a Dope" passing game are long gone.

The people who are calling for JM are some delusional individuals.

I was shunned until the age of 7 in the Amish community I grew up in. All for taking Jedidiah's barley loaf and hiding it in the old hay barn. It was all good natured fun.

He took snaps last year

I feel ya. I was shunned for not saving the excess oil from a can of tuna.

Remember Richard Murphy? His spring performances were Heisman worthy. Come August? Not so much. Brandon Harris was rumored to be a practice superstar. Turn the lights on? Not so much.

Remember who was reporting those stats? The same guy that said the OL was the best he had ever seen.

Funny how some people use stats or practice to make a case for "their" guy and ignore anything truths that would make him look worse. Right now, the only positive things from spring about DE are intangibles. There is something to be said about a guy who has those same stats dating back to High School.

People think it's about to be some magical occurrence that turns DE into a playmaker. Does not seem like that may ever happen after nearly 5 years of college football so far. I'd be very surprised if he gets any better on the field which he definitely has to. If he does, I'll root for him just like anything other player on the team. If not, time for change.

Scott and Justin are proving that we may be just fine at qb after etling leaves. I just think etling is gonna be the best option commanding a new look offense. Smart. Won't make big
Mistakes. I like this years team so far. Don't see us having a down year like some are predicting

By golly, give the man the keys

Well we gotta give the keys to some body

We need a QB to lead us to a championship and I am for who ever can do this. We need to trust this staff and hope its not like Miles and we start the best QB.

Etling did ok last year, not great by any means and does not scare defenses with a great arm and does not pose a threat running the ball. Etling is a senior and mature and in my opinion his only edge. He is the safe choice for the staff.

My guess is this staff goes with the safe choice unless one of the younger guys really impress Canada. Coach O should put the choice 100% in the hands of Canada and we will see how or new OC does.

I honestly hope he wins the starting job. I think he could bring more to the table than Etlin.

Rantard classic. The other guy is always better.

it's great that's he's doing well. but scrimmages are just practices and we don't know who's he up against, the #1's, 2's or 3's. he seems to be preparing himself to be a competent back up. whoever the backup is is only one injury away from getting the job.

He said "likely" which doesn't indicate he is saying anything with certainty. Do you know that McMillan will see snaps??

He impressed me enough last year in the spring that I felt comfortable with LSU having a capable backup if Etling went down. Glad to hear he is putting on a good perfromance this spring as well.

The senior leadership with etling will be hard to unseat. I go with etling no doubt

Maybe we can start the walk on running backs who have shown flashes in the SCRIMMAGES.

Miles was their coach. I tend to give players a pass whom played under him.
