We missed the tournament with Martin, Mickey, Simmons, Blakenly, O'bryant, and more. Doesn't matter the players we have, the results are all similar.

Blakeney is good; other than that they have some inconsistent "role" players at best. They do not have very good talent.

They shot 5% from the 3 pt line.

Talent is mediocre

Agreed, but still underachieving talent...thus 2-17 with several blowout losses in a mediocre conference.

With the exception of Simmons (who would have skipped college) Every last one of them I feel left a year too early. Judgement is still out on Blakeney who would benefit both on the court and improve his draft stock with another year in college. Bryant would have been a top 10 pick, M&M both could have worked on their free throws. But the difference one extra year of college could have made.

Who is the good player? Who are the role players? Are we even talking about the same team?

Serious question. Whose fault is that? You have defended JJ like you are him so I am curious who you think is at fault?

Talent includes good bball IQ. IMO, being able to only shoot or dunk doesn't equate to being talented. It requires the bball IQ.

who are these stud coaches and why would they come here, and if they came here could they be able to recruit here ? These same questions were the same for football ,we were saved by Coach O ! But now who is going to save us in BB ! I wish we had a sane fan base and johnny for a couple more year !

2006 ! a bad year does not break or make a career, A coach should never be fired unless you have a replace ment , the subsequent coach canidates puts his self in the previous coaches shoes and it is hard to make a decent contract with them because they have the aces up their sleeve !

Its both players and coaches fault...i clearly remember Reath pulling up and missing a wide open 5ft jumper...when he could have dunked it. I don't think Jones anticipated him to do that. Thats just 1 example on which many similar meltdowns have occurred. Now i would fault Jones for not pulling them out of the game...since it seems he never pulls them out of the game.
