I think the bottom line is that Jennings is just too good with the touch on the deep ball to pull him.

We have something going with him and Dural that will help keep the defenses honest and not crowd the box on every play.

Harris has more experience already than Jennings had all last year (not counting the bowl game.)

I'm not sure what this has to do with anything, or exactly what it means.

A little Sunday morning tip...avoid using the term "I feel", just make your point.

IMO, we have another Jamarcus Russel-Matt Flynn situation here. I don't think Harris gets the reigns handed to him until Jennings isn't on the roster...

Everyone keeps talking about "When Harris gets more experience..." but Jennings will continue to get better too. And in case no one has noticed, he's Russel Wilson 2.0. The dude is also becoming money on third down. That is huge.

I'm not saying Harris doesn't have huge talent and upside, but I just don't think he gets his shot until Jennings is gone.

I just feel that when you preface something as an opinion, its more likely that your point will be taken as such, rather than a bold, no-it-all statement.

When they were up against a formidable opponent, who did the coaching staff play? When they get into the SEC which will be like the Wisconsin game, they will do the same thing. This thing is over, sorry.

I used to be on the Harris bandwagon (after watching the spring game and Iowa game), but I'm all on Jennings now.

To me the only reason to get Harris PT now is to get his feet wet and prepare him in case of injury. He's clearly the future, but he just doesn't have command f the offense yet. His arm talent is outrageous though.

Jennings is the starter, Harris will get some play time in several games.

ETA: Harris will not take Jennings spot next year either as long as he is playing good. If he can continue to grow and the team continues to win, why would Miles have a competition next year?

If he throws just 7 more TDs this year (probably will have that after MSU), then he will have already matched Zach's first year starting.

That's where I am too. Since Wisconsin/2nd half, Jennings has looked like a man in complete control of the other 10 guys wearing white, and likewise, they seem to look at him as the guy that's in control.

The fact that he throws the prettiest long ball I've seen lately doesn't hurt matters either, and don't let that little tidbit slip by you.

Jennings does look good and he will start but I'm worried about all these deep balls that he is relying on.. Seemed like that's all he wanted to do instead of hitting trey or diarse over the middle

If it's there, go for it. QBs do this all the time. Did you see Connor Cook last week? 12/13 for nearly 300 yards and 4 TDs. The guy from Baylor was 16/25 for like 450 yards and 5 TDs in one half yesterday,.

Twice Dural missed a chance for the deep ball. One he just flat out dropped, and the second, he stopped running (possibly misjudged it). Had he kept his stride, it would have fell right into the bucket again. Jennings was dropping dimes and it was there every time for him to do so.

They will definitely not do this in SEC play, and I'm 100% sure Cam and Miles will be calling more short and intermediate plays next week.

Jennings is the starter but remember LSU will be playing teams with better CBs down the road as well.

Jennings does not look like someone who has only started three games...he looks calm and composed...

I concur chicken. Harris seems to be playing too fast. Jennings played very composed and comfortable.

Harris' arm though... WOW

Playing both is smart. Injuries happen, so having Harris as a capable backup with experience is a wise move. Jennings is and should be the starter, but man, Harris's TD pass to Dupre makes you think.

My problem was not with the deep balls he threw last night it's that I hope he knows when we get in conference play he won't be able to just sling that pass every series.... Neither qb has touch on screens or short passes

I had the same thought the second half.

Jennings had a poor first half vs Wisconsin. He had a good second half. He had a good first half vs SH. Avg second half.
He seemed to have little touch on short passes, great touch on long passes. Don't know if that is a winner in the SEC.

I think that in time meaning the next 3-4 weeks Harris is going to become the man. AJ doesn't look like he can read defenses. Against conference competition he is going to have to spread the ball around. We all know that he can air it out but if he can throw consistently to pick up first downs he will be a complete Qb
